"Don't publish this until I'm dead."
Generally speaking, I try not to speak ill of the dead. But when someone like Ford writes a long opinion piece like this book that is being published, I think I'll change my mind. "Dear President Ford, no one gives a damn what you think anymore."

10. huh
I kind of like getting the dirt. Too bad we didn't have it sooner. It's a little gossipy, but it's political, so I can't resist.

14. I know he didn't write it, but he said to publish it after he died--he didn't have the guts to say
these things when he was alive.

15. Extreme Book-writing ...
It's the logical extension of what politicians & "news people" have been doing for ages.. They remain quiet while they are in a position to actually do something about or comment on an issue...actually withholding important facts that we should know about..and save them for "their book", which people then have to pay money for.
This is escpecially annoying to me in the news arena, since they are PAID to ferret out the news and report on it while it's... well.. news.. Instead they tease us all with a dribble here and a dribble there, but the best stuff they save for themselves..

Truthfully.. Ford was a milquetoast guy who was handpicked by the crook he later pardoned.. That's what Ford will be remembered for.. and he liked to play golf.. ho-hum
