Our party's next nominee must side with the world's poor, not corporate power.
It's time for ALL Democrats to admit that globalized "Davos" values have failed.

And our nominee must accept that we have nothing to gain by backing the rich against the planet's poor.

A stable, peaceful world can only be built when inequality and misery are on the way out.

Elitism has failed us. "Enlightened capitalism" doesn't exist.

We need to be on the side of the people for once.

And we need to make sure that our nominee, whoever it is, is finally on the right side of history.

The days of Democratic presidents backing ruling elites and generals must be gone and must be gone forever.

The path to victory is the path of justice.

And what will you do if you don't get that?
Because you won't. And high-flying pronouncements aren't a lot of help.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

3. I'll keep working for it.
But why shouldn't it be attainable?

Why can't we leave backing the global rich to the GOP?

No Americans who aren't rich benefit from globalization and the U.S. imposition of austerity budgets on other countries.

Why can't we back the majority of the world's people for once?

4. We can make it heppen. It may take years, but we have to keep working for it.
Most ordinary Americans aren't on the side of corporations anyway.

5. i'd rather they side with the people of THIS country-
we've got to get our own house in order, before going crusading for humanity worldwide.

6. Well, we can at least stay out of humanity's way when it tries to emancipate itself
And what I was calling for was also about backing the majority of the people here.

It isn't "Either/Or".

8. According to some polls poverty is not an issue for most Americans.
Check the CBS poll of Sept out. http://www.pollingreport.com/prioriti.htm something like 3% of voters for which poverty is a big issue.

Sadly enough. It should be important but apparently it's not high priority.

14. when you're poor, you feel powerless, and voting seems pointless.
at some point, they need to stand up for themselves.

15. "At some point THEY need to stand up for themselves"
That sounds like a fucking republican "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" bullshit.
Actually, when others CANNOT stand for themselves, we should not STAND BY and watch them fall deeper.
It is the DUTY of fellow citizens to help those less fortunate.
I believe even the Bible said something to that effect....

17. each person is only entitled to ONE vote...
if "the poor" as a group want some political say- "THEY" need to vote...not just for candidates that support them- but just to vote, period.

btw- the bible is a work of fiction, written to control the masses and their minds.

10. Not bloody likely
At least not until we get well enough organized to do an end run around the MSM. Right now, candidates are allowed to be "frontrunners" only if the corporate elite could live with their policies.
