Absinthtence
Colbert never cease to amaze me. Even more so than Stewart. To come with clever word plays every day is amazing. The way he "ducked" under a visual of McCain with a gun pointing at him..

Did McCain really tell Smith & Wesson workers that he hopes to catch bin Laden and kill him with "their product?"

Must have had a wacko moment - as Seinfeld was talking on Letterman where I switched for a few minutes after Colbert.

And Jon Stewart: I was hoping that Arnold's kids were not watching. They are now older than when he first ran with all the gory details of his sexcapades.

4. Thanks. I knew that I would miss the spelling
completely. Again, Colbert's brilliance.

3. McCain really said that (link) and Stephen was Brilliant last night!
"I will follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell and I will shoot him with one of your products," McCain said to applause and laughter. The company is owned by Smith & Wesson, manufacturers of military and police pistols.

5. Thanks. McCain said he was joking
Later to reporters, McCain emphasized he was joking about personally assassinating bin Laden.

"I was speaking rhetorically, I don't think I would shoot him myself, but I do want to emphasize -- as I try to -- that this person must be brought to justice," he said.

=====

As with the "Bomb bomb Iran," I suppose.

Still Colbert ran with it brilliantly.

6. Of course one couldn't take what McCain said verbatim but it was as you say, it
was in keeping with his twisted sense of humor. And he is trying to claim that he believes in the sanctity of life? :puke:
