4. And now, for the new X Files show:
From all over the United States come reports form believers that they are being bypassed on their jobs by less qualified people. In federal and state agencies many believers report that they seem to be put on a shelf and status quo exists while new people zip to the top with advancements.

Some business executives report being fired without reason.

Marriages considered quite solid suddenly break up.

Children with a previously dependable record become erratic.

We think that the real answer is that many people are being controlled by witchcraft.
*******
Oh boy!!!

5. Swedish Borgs?
Okay, some of the stuff I can understand if you're looking at it from their perspective. Obviously, you can't expect very many Christians to condone occult-related activities.

Martial Arts?
Rubik's Cube?
Science fiction?
Rock n' roll, not even "Jesus" rock'n'roll?
Walt Disney?

Do they want to wipe out all owls, frogs, and snakes?

I don't know what's sadder - that these groups still exist, or that they are still attracting new converts.

8. It's that stuff that you do so well
You know, the "hoodoo that you do so well". At least, it's a phrase I've heard a few times, although I never really knew what it meant either.

You don't really expect that these idiots actually know the definitions of all these things, do you? They just sound scary and dangerous if you're one of them.

I like how they threw the Catholic Church at the end. I'm surprised they didn't throw homosexuality and Jews on the list, although they very well might be on some expanded list.

12. Hoodoo is an American folk magick tradition
Edited on Tue Oct-30-07 04:36 PM by Chovexani
It's a highly syncretic tradition that incorporates aspects of West African religio-magical practice (such as that practiced by the Yoruba people, whom many black Americans are descended from) and Christianity (particularly Catholicism), various American Indian tribal stuff and even Judaism. It's practiced mostly in the South by blacks but there are lots of white Hoodoo practicioners too and Hoodoo workers can be found all over the place. Another term for Hoodoo is Roots, (as in "working roots" or "puttin' on roots") because of the heavy use of herbs and roots in the workings. It is a very folksy tradition concerned with practical things like getting a job, romance, luck in gambling, etc. The word mojo actually comes from Hoodoo, the mojo bag is a collection of herbs, stones, etc that is a charm. Old school blues music references this stuff a lot, especially the old Mississippi Delta blues, as Hoodoo is very strong down there. Hoodoo is strictly about magick though, there are Christians, Wiccans, atheists that use it.

It is NOT the same as Vodoun (popularly known as Voodoo), which is a religion unto itself.

Read more about it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoodoo_%28folk_magic%29

9. I thought that was pretty odd also
Condemning warpaint, but then having an ad do purchase makeup? Aren't they enticing you to commit a mortal sin by doing that?

Also, I don't understand their opposition to dolls. Dolls have been around FAR longer than voodoo.

18. Don't forget the soap operas!
Soap operas have a powerful grip on the mind. Mind control, soul removal and entrance of evil spirits all occur in the person watching them. Emotionalism, violence, passion, anger, lust, free love, hate, you name it, the opportunity for many to enter the person is there. For example, Dallas brings about spirits that would seek to corrupt every form of business and home life.

The authors, writers and script writers are absolutely polluted with it. As a result they produced Star Wars, Jaws, Empire Strikes Back and many more. Many movies are the most horrible, grotesque, powerful, satanic, indescribable, treacherous, revolting, productions. Words cannot describe the effects that witchcraft has had in our entertainment field. Filling the observer with fear and opening him up for demons to enter is the goal of each horror movie.

There is hardly a page of movie ads that are fit to read. You want to remember that witchcraft includes the use of sex. You see people who are delving and dealing in witchcraft have no ability to develop any love such as the Holy Spirit and the scriptures define as love.
The only love they have is the sexual activity. To them that is love. So the sexual activity is not only important to them but it is a powerful factor in their generation of force. Sexual activities and stimulation is not only used as a subverting factor, but as a counterfeit of true love and the sending forth of more powerful curses.

In witchcraft books they suggest that you go out in public with no clothes on except a raincoat and then take the coat off in an elevator to build up their energy or power. I feel the braless and bikini looks have their roots in witchcraft.

It would be funny, but some people actually believe all this.

30. It looks as if this piece was written some time ago. The examples
they used, like Dallas and the early Star Wars movies, and the omission of Harry Potter tell me it hasn't been updated in awhile. If it were written today, I'd expect to see Britney Spears, 9/11, Desperate Housewives ... all the currently Satanic stuff. ;)

28. "Maize fertility"?
What in the name of heaven is "maize fertility" and given that we are using lots of corn that should be going into the food chain to make bio-fuels, isn't maize fertility something we want? I loved the "reading Hari" which I take to mean Harry Potter. Of course, they failed to mention Wicca, which means that my religion is more powerful than their religion :woohoo: . And finally, the deliverance from warpaint juxtaposed with the cosmetics link at the bottom of the page. Things that make you go :wtf: ?
