Kucinich calls Bush's 'mental health' into question
http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2007/10/kucinich_calls_bushs_mental_he.html

Democrat Dennis Kucinich, girding for another debate of his party's presidential candidates tonight, is calling President Bush's mental health into question because of Bush's recent warning that people who don't want another World War III don't want nuclear arms in Iran.

"I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health," Kucinich said in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board today. "There's something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact." snip

Kucinich, an Ohio congressman, maintains there's nothing irresponsible about his own remarks.

"You cannot be a president of the United States who's wanton in his expression of violence," Kucinich told the newspaper. "There's a lot of people who need care. He might be one of them. If there isn't something wrong with him, then there's something wrong with us. This, to me, is a very serious question."

The Associated Press provided this report.

4. I am more worried about the mental state of the nation that
not only has him in power but has an opposition that does nothing to stop him other than cosmetic deeds.

10. There's not much question that we've become a nation of cowards and outlaws ...

... where many are afflicted with serious personality disorders and emotional instability. The "average" mental health in this country is something to be ashamed of ... even worse than our physical health where so many are obese.

12. And yet, we have one
who is flouting his mental health on national corporatemedia tv and the only one who has the nerve to point it out is Dennis Kucinich.

8. Indeed. Dennis was giving him the benefit of a very small doubt.
As we all know, mental illness is not to be demeaned - it's to be treated. If it cannot be treated, then the afflicted should be cared for in an appropriate manner so that he can neither harm himself nor harm others. That's why I've been completely consistent over the last 6 years in calling for Junior's commitment to a secure facility where he can be kept in a padded cell and pose the least harm to himself or to others. It's the only sane and compassionate act.

7. I hosted a Kucinch debate party
but I'm the only one who will show up. Honestly, if we can't convince people when we have a candidate who tells the truth, I don't know what we're going to do to stop the war.

9. Kucinich is the kind of president we need!
We need someone who has principles, will stand up and talk about those elephants in the corner.

About time someone brought up Bush's mental state.

11. We won't elect him ... because we don't deserve him.
Edited on Tue Oct-30-07 05:27 PM by TahitiNut
We're getting what we deserve. Whenever ANYONE observes he's "unelectable" they're merely condemning the character and honor of a nation that does little or nothing while the Cheney/Bush regime commits crimes against humanity and war crimes and we have nearly 50 million of our own people left bereft of the basics of care.

13. the more I observe our civilization the more I am convinced
that we are on the same kind of decline that the roman empire went into. our civilization is dying but the barbarians are already in control.

15. I think he is indeed unelectable, and I am well aware that says far more about
where I place the value of the average American than it does about the value of Kucinich.
