"My school is Wellstone"
I just got my copy of "Wellstone!" in todays' mail. It's a wonderful documentary about Paul and I can't say anything in its praise that would do either the film or Paul justice.

I ordered it for a really specific reason. At the end of the film, the student body of a grammar school that was named after Paul and Sheila SING their school song. And, the song and the singers would make a stone cry -- for sadness but also, for hope and for happiness.

I've emailed the producers to ask if they'd please consider posting the audio file to the net. (It's not there that I can find.) But the thing is, no matter how tired or pissed or whatever I get, I have this great ear worm that's helps me push through it all.

Does anyone have a link or is it really not up?

The Wellstone School Song

Chorus:

My school is Wellstone
I go to Wellstone
I learn at Wellstone
I grow at Wellstone
My school is Wellstone
I go to Wellstone
And Wellstone is the school for me.

There's a school called Wellstone
That I'm telling you about
I think that it's terrific
Of that there is no doubt.
You can find it in St. Paul
The nicest city in the land
I'd like to tell, all the world
Wellstone school is grand.

(Chorus)

Both the teachers and the students
I think are pretty great
We are working hard to be
The finest school in all the state.
We have vision for the future
You can put us to the test
I think Paul and Sheila would agree
We're going to do our best.

(Chorus)

We are confident and caring
We are hard working and true
The principal and all the staff
Will work quite hard for you.
Send your children here to Wellstone
Education they'll receive
We'll do our best to teach them all
In that you can believe.

(Chorus, two times or more)

"I learn at Wellstone"

1. The 5th anniversary of their deaths just passed...
...and, even after half-a-decade, I feel a pang over the loss of one of the greatest men of our generation.

Recommending - and I'm going to buy a copy of the documentary.

terrified, my first day in college. He was so welcoming. He had this smile that made everything around him glow.

19. You're more than welcome. But be prepared for a slew of PMs...
:D :hi::hug:

BTW, Joe told me that he was the one who told you about Barney. The man has a mind like a sieve, LOL. He was pretty much housebroken by the time that I got him (Barney, not Joe, LOL.), but my friend in rescue taught me a lot, mostly about taking him out as soon as he awoke and immediately after he ate, and kept to a schedule until he learned what was expected of him. Positive reinforcement works, praising her when she does the right thing and totally ignoring her when she does something wrong. Barney wanted to please, so he was easy, unlike little Jack, who expects me to please him...:eyes::D
