10. I think he's trying to go back to the New Deal routine.
For that, I find him appealing because I'm economically left wing.

3. Kucinich, with his few chances called for Impeachment of chimpy and dickie!
No one else comes close to speaking to the true pressing issues of today.

5. Biden strongly, strongly impressed me.
Edwards was good throughout. Hillary crashed and burned, IMO. I was cringing throughout.

7. I don't know who won but I know who I think really lost.
Hillary.

I haven't thought that after any other debates but I definitely do this time.

23. yea, she did not do well at all last nite.
Edited on Wed Oct-31-07 01:02 PM by alyce douglas
I thought they all did good, but Dodd was talking her elect-ability, and how 50% would not vote for her. We really have to come to grips with ourselves and get a Dem in the WH 2008 who has elect ability. Edwards and Biden I love listening to both, and Dennis.

15. My usual post debate grades
Edited on Tue Oct-30-07 10:16 PM by mvd
Biden A- (had best line about Guiliani)
Clinton A- (was at her best in separating her positions from Bush's. Touched on a lot of issues)
Dodd B (solid; not a lot of time given)
Edwards A (attacked Clinton, but substantively, and the Dems' attacks will be nothing like the Repukes')
Kucinich A (not much time at all, but touched on impeachment and was his great self. What was he supposed to say to that stupid UFO question? At least he was true to himself and was humorous)
Obama C+ (needed a much better debate. Got better near the end; I could relate to the part about scientific funding being scarce. If he related it to SCHIP, he'd be in the B range. Good one liner about Romney's two faces)
Richardson B (didn't help or hurt himself)

Winner: Edwards

16. She's not running against Bush. He'll (probably) be gone by 2009
So I don't think you're using the correct criteria

The same contrasts can be valid against Guiliani, Romney, etc.

18. Edwards, definitely Edwards.
I agree with Selatius that Edwards is channeling the New Dealers, good for him. The more economic populism the better.

I am an Edwards supporter, but I thought he buried her tonight.

were all but ignored by Russert et. al.
