There used to be a site that featured loads of footage from Iraq but it got shut down. The IEDs you'd see in those didn't lift up the road like that, it was like they were above the road or something.

I'm trying to pause the video, but right before it goes off, there is something on the screen that looks like it is falling.

Any idea how to download a video from YouTube so it can be watched on another video program?

You'll be downloading a .flv file to your new flv player after you dl the software.
Just google flv player and you'll be ready in a few minutes to save all the cool shit you see on YouTube.

11. Nope, not a mortar

Here's a picture of one that landed in my work area in Mosul in December, 2004 (the same day the dining facility was blown up by the suicide bomber, in fact).

As you can see, the force of the explosion was entirely directed outward. There is only the slightest damage to the concrete, and the tail of the mortar stayed where it landed. I believe that was an 82mm mortar, based on the size of the tail fins that remained. That picture was taken right after it landed; about 20 minutes later, every truck within 50 feet had flat tires.

12. Think it is real, but am still wondering if it is an IED...

There is clearly some movement of something coming down from the sky just before the ground erupts, but I can't slow the video enough to see if it is just a glitch, bird or something else.

Watch it again and you can see something...
