If not, you need to.

Edit: Due to my dyslexic fingers.

11. It's best if you do.
There's a lot of people out there that could fall for something even this transparent.

14. Craig appreciates it if you bust these guys to him.
He helped my son a long time ago before this scam was very well known.

13. Yup

The scammer doesn't say anything specific about 'the item' or your location. They probably send out that same email dozens of times every day and all they ever change is the recipient's address.

19. Yes. I frequently get angry e-mails from a "buyer" on e-Bay who hasn't received the "item"
he paid me for, and he will report me to e-bay and have my accounts frozen if I don't CLICK ON THIS LINK to contact him immediately right now.

Apparently items are in high demand lately.

And apparently I have failed to ship this item several times, mostly to persons of semi-literate status. More than a little odd, since it's been more than three years since I sold anything on e-bay.

21. Yes, I get those too and I usually respond
telling them to stick a garden hoe up their behind and I don't mean the handle end.

22. Mine get forwarded directly to spoof.at.ebay.com, as do the fake PayPal account-freezing
threats always coming in. ("You must update your informations immediately")

E-bay and PayPal always send nice little thank-you notes.

It is a couch, wingback chair, and two coffee tables.

3. I imagine your reply was short and rude.
I also imagine you posted this to Craig's list and informed the local police.

20. I'd suggest something like abuse@craigslist.com
because that's usually the complaint address. There is also a "contact us" on the page.

18. CLASSIC scam. I think it's even called the "shipping scam".
They money orders are fake and they get both your "item" and the cost of shipping. You get screwn.
