Watch Closely. --Does the Catholic Church Maintain Same Standards
as they took in Last Presidential Election?

At least two Bishops (Massachussets and Missouri) came out
and encouraged Conservative Catholics not to support John
Kerry. Suggested he should not be permitted to receive
Holy Communion. John Kerry is Pro-Choice.

Some Catholic Right to Life Groups on C-Span pointed to the
fact that he is divorced made him an unqualified candidate.

These stories got large amounts of coverage on all Cable
Channels.

At the time, I believed it was a mistake for Powerful Members
of the Church to inject themselves into a Campaign( I am Catholic).

Will they hold Republicans to the same standard???

2. you listen to the church's 'relevant radio...' and weird contradictions pop up...
...of course, all the guests are 'pro-life...'

but once they get into their interview you find many supporting capitol punishment and the war, both of which were strongly opposed by the great church leader....

and no one calls them on this hypocrisy.

3. Are you subtly referring to Rudy "I Wed Three Wives--and one was my COUSIN"
Giuliani?

Write them a letter, and ask them. Type it, be polite, and inquire as to their views. Avoid controversial language, be sincere. If they don't reply promptly, call and ask for a response, or resend the letter and ask again for an answer.

Then put the letter up on the web. Either they're after the guy, or they're hypocrites. It's a win-win no matter what.

5. Catholic Bishops supporting Bush last election
I stopped going to mass for about a year because I was offended by some bishops backing Bush and posing for pictures with him.
My local pastor did not support the war in our private conversations, but I still was very annoyed that any Catholic could condone this unnessary war. I wrote our archbishop but never received an answer.
Pope John Paul called it an unjust war, but nazi-ratzi feels differently.

6. Absolutely not. Where's the outrage about Catholic politicians who
support the death penalty?
