14. The point is, over time it would be possible for some disillusioned Republican voters (probably NOT

the ones who listen to Rush regularly) to start to look at a smart, personable, engaging guy like Obama and consider the guy as an actual person before weighing in the race thing and any preexisting prejudice.

If the RW echo chamber can at regular, short, intervals keep pounding on some aspect of Obama's race, no matter what it is, or how absurd, as long as the issue of "he's black" keeps being mentioned, they can prevent this process from ever happening. All you are left with is the prejudice.
