Good comedy is basically conservative anyway - based as it is on exposing human foibles and pretense - so it's not necessary to hit the political nail on the head to express a conservative position. Sounds like this show is trying way too hard.

The one clip I saw was horrendous. I wish the show to die an uncomfortable death.

“The 1/2 Hour News Hour” does not comment on what is happening; it simply takes swipes at people. These people include Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama and Ed Begley Jr. Other joke topics are the ACLU, Time magazine, children’s books and global warming. Laughter, of an awfully canned variety, greets all the gags. Nothing happening on screen justifies these outbursts.
Sounds like a mirror image of the Daily Show. I wonder if the "reviewer" criticized that show as well.

1. Sucks hard enough to bend light, apparently.
If even the humor-deficient knuckledraggers who populate Freak Republic think it sucks, then the level of sucking must be immeasurable.

9. "A mirror image of The Daily Show"?
Hardly. The Daily Show's production values are considerably higher. Real video clips are used. There are numerous (and talented) "correspondents" (many of whom have gone on to glory....like Steven Carrell and Stephen Colbert). There is a live audience as opposed to the looped laugh track of Fox's show. And The Daily Show has guests not even Fox News can get. Everybody wants to be on The Daily Show. Fox's sad show will be lucky to bribe C-listers to appear.
Plus. The Daily Show is genuinely funny.

13. Rush's TV show. Now that was something
No doubt Rush's old TV show is what freepers will find playing when they get to hell. Poor Rush. He needs a fixed fight. Screened calls. Scripted comments written by his smarter staff. Rush couldn't go one on one with a knowledgeable fifth grader. You won't see him debating anyone. He doesn't have the ammo. He's just entertainment for those who lack discernment. Listen for five minutes and you'll hear so many fact errors you'll wonder what kind of person could possibly take his show seriously. (later, his audience repeats Rush's babble as "the news." "I heard on the news." Uh, no. You're repeating Rush. And you sound like an idiot.

17. And that is why we no longer see Rush
appearing on TV unless his handlers have given the segment the entire infommercial treatment first. Just like Bush, the babysitters have to work overtime. These are not men like Clinton, Gore, Colbert, Stewart, or Obama who can just talk at length about the issues, without notes, scripts, or a teleprompter.
Poor Rush. He really is pitiful, isn't he?
