9. I listened to all of the Ed Schultz meltdown clip today without

:puke:ing, and it became progressively worse. I listened to parts of it 3 times and it was downright insulting, nauseating and infuriating!!! What a jerk!

It was the first time I'd ever heard him and I was turned off. I heard the Seder show that prompted the rant, and I can say that Sam never said anything derogatory about Ed Schultz. He was merely supporting another AAR host.

I hope that you understand that I was making, or trying to anyway, a smart-assed comment about Ed's reference to being red headed and not red heads in general. When he mentioned it for about the third time and was yelling by the end of that part of the mini rant, I quit being somewhat amused and began thinking he's rather over the edge.

IMO, he's more than missing the point; he was intentionally making an effort to miss the point and to just take a moment to slam AAR and the hosts who are there, and Malloy. I did get a little tickled when he mentioned left wing fringists seeing a conspiracy behind every bush, and then went on to smack Franken around again. I think of Al as more of a centrist, then I was angry about his butthead comments about anyone who might be slightly further to the left than he.

I read Larry Johnson's piece awhile back at noquarter typepad on his problem with ED, a must read for all interested in this topic because it really goes to the heart of Ed. Now Sam has an open letter up about this latest rant of Ed's (he has a link to Mr Johnsons piece also). Back around Jan 22 or 23, Ed was mad because Hillary didn't meet with him when he was in DC. Did he make an appointment with Hillary or just drop in and expect a meeting?

How about when he got mad when the Phoenix station when the people fought to buy advertisements by the pixel to get their progressive station back on the air waves. He ranted then also, that audio is available if anyone is interested at Mike Newcombs website. Ed was mad because he wanted to buy that station. He felt he was the the only one who can manage a radio station.

As most of you know, AAR was/has been syndicating Thom Hartmann and I always thought it was so they could move him into Al's time slot when/if he ran for office. Why is it wrong for Sam to say he likes Thom Hartmann or support a fellow AAR host? Why is it wrong for Sam to tell listeners to let XM know who they wanted Thom or Ed?

Ed talked about AAR not having advertisers....well, remember the black list which was outed recently? I believe Ed is mad that radio stations were going to carry Thom Hartmann and not Ed.

Remember this rant the next time he goes off - will it again be because he didn't get his way.

I listen to NovaM stream which is carrying the Phoenix radio lineup and it is a great substitute, it has Randi Thom and Mike (I must switch for Sam). It is an Ed free zone.
