They're learning to use the internetS - LOL
House Minority Whip Roy Blunt has a new YouTube site where videos are posted "for the viewing pleasure of Roy Blunt fans everywhere."

Politico: "Look, there's Roy Blunt on the evening news. Roy Blunt on the Iraq resolution. Roy Blunt on Fox&Friends. Honey, come quick, Roy Blunt's speaking on the House floor!"

But "surprisingly," though some videos have been viewed "more than 500 times," not a "single sentence" was posted in the comments section.

When an inquiring call was made to Blunt's office, "the comments section was blank." But "shortly thereafter, a glowing comment" appeared "thanking" Blunt.

Blunt spokesperson Burson Snyder said two of the three comments so far "had extremely foul language and (were) pulled off." Snyder also said the page is for people "who can't watch C-SPAN all day long."

I think this is just hilarious. At the local blog where I found this, the republicans do this all the time. Kissing each others' asses in cyberspace, as soon as they learn how. LOL

2. It's not InternetS, it's InterTUBES
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_of_tubes

"Series of tubes" was a metaphor used by United States Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), to describe the Internet on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in a speech about network neutrality,<1> possibly confusing it with networking terms like "pipes" or "tunnels". Stevens was criticizing a proposed amendment to a bill in the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation which would have prohibited Internet service providers from charging fees to give some companies higher priority access to their networks or their customers. The metaphor became emblematic of the speech (and Stevens' seemingly poor understanding of the Internet) despite Stevens making several other odd comparisons and references.

Almost two weeks ago, we posted an excerpt of audio from the Senate markup of the telecom bill, a long oration by Senator Stevens explaining why he was voting against a Net Neutrality amendment. In doing so we seem to have inadvertently sparked an internet meme, the Internet as a “series of tubes.” This Technorati chart gives a sense of the trend:
