Tim Griffin withdraws name for US Attorney job in Arkansas
Citing "partisan" uproars and making other whiny statements, Tim Griffin says he won't be US Attorney for Arkansas. Griffin is a Rove political hatchet-man who supposedly was recommended by Harriet Miers, Bush's inept former White House counsel and failed SCOTUS nominee.

1. Probably doesn't want to be the subject of an investigation
himself when the Judiciary Committee starts digging into these Gonzo appointments.

2. If I recall correctly, Griffin was one of the Bush-Cheney henchmen in 2000.
He definitely is a Rover political operative and has been for a long time.
