1. The GOPers keep inferring that members of the House aren't qualified to
make decisions about the Iraq war, because many of them have never had to fight in a war.

Um, this just begs to be mentioned: Neither did AWOL Bush, 5 deferrment Cheney, or most of the rest of the GOP.

They are really struggling to make their point.

3. Lantos Wrapping Up
The contrast of arguments have been amazing. All the Repugnicans can do is scare and create strawmen, boogie men and all sorts of doomsday scenarios, since they have no legitimite defense.

Let's get this puppy voted on and over to the Senate. Then onto the funding and investigations! Things that bind and matter.

Meanwhile, kudos to all the Democrats and the select Republicans who are supporting this resolution...it's about damn time.

6. Walter Jones...I Admire This Man
I doubt I could ever vote for this man as long as he has an (R) attached to his name, but I do admire how he's spoken out early and often and stuck to his guns.

Another person I was suprised with is Keller. But then he knows he's got a target on his head next year.

4. Jackass Rogers is on blatantly lying
Talking about all the terrorists in the caves - apparently all the terrorists hate us for our Geico.

And he of course brought up how we haven't been attacked since 9/11 - WHICH WE HAVE!

He's truly a voice in the wilderness...the only Repugnican two years ago with the stones to come out against this war for profit and to admit he was wrong in trusting this regime.

At first I was skeptical.
Then, we were able to use HIS words to get our NC democratic rep from a pretty SOLIDLY blue district to take the next step- (David Price. )

42. You Know, I Really Don't Get That
These dolts are invoking terror as if it's an argument.

The point is not whether we want to stop the terrorists! The point is:

WE DON'T TRUST BUSH TO BE ABLE TO DO IT! HE'S DONE IT WRONG AT EVERY TURN SO FAR, SO WE'RE TRYING TO STOP HIM FROM DOING IT WRONG AGAIN!

That means we're MORE concerned about stopping terrorism then they are, because they're willing to continue doing it wrong.

48. The evoke terror to keep the populace in fear but America is waking up to that and it has stopped
working. They see that the Emperor has no clothes and all he has left his is backwash believing him. This doesn't stop his Congressional minions from parroting the Shrub because they know they have nothing left to fall back on.

BTW...I am sure you know that using fear, a terror tactic, is as old as the human race. How do a small group of people keep the rest in tow? By using fear and the promise that they will protect them...

21. The Repub speeches summed up:
Anyone who is for getting out of Iraq is an anti-American jerk who hopes for our armies to all be killed and wants Al Qaeda to invade the US and kill all its children. Anyone who protests the war or has the audacity to discuss whether we should have a war spits on the troops and makes them cry like babies. We should no more pull out of Iraq than we should have pulled out of Viet Nam (Boehner actually did say this) because we tell our enemies that we are cowards when we don't fight to the last man regardless of the meaning of the war. It was our patriotic duty to invade Iraq to destroy the evil Islamic mosters who are trying to destroy the world for their extraterrestrial overlords. All Islam is determined to make all women wear burqas and never eat barbecue again. Iraq attacked us on 9/11 because they hate America and they have never attacked us again regardless of the anthrax attacks because all terrorists are Arabs. Now the only patriotic answer is to shut up and let Bush do whatever he wants to our country and don't complain when it's our turn to blow him because it's our patriotic duty.

I tried to watch a lot of the debate, but there's only so much lying and Repugnican fear mongering one can take (especially after eating).

I know what you mean, I've worked a little, watched a little, got nothing done.

Here's hoping it's not that bad.

And I'll bet it's a lot of fun to be you.

Cheers...
