Let's Be Clear. The Opposition To The Surge. . .
. . .is not about ignoring terrorism! IT'S ABOUT DOING IT RIGHT!

Silverspoon has done everything completely wrong, and the Congress is doing it's duty to make sure that we don't continue doing it wrong.

These buffoons who keep saying that the terrorists will be glad aren't getting it. They're glad now! We haven't accomplished a thing in stopping terrorism.

The point of the resolution is not to give up on terrorism. That won't "embolden" the terrorists. It will let them know there's a new sheriff in town and now they'll have something to worry about. The people running resistance to terrorism will no longer just be a faux cowboy and his dilettante philosophers. It's the whole of Congress and the american people who put them there!

Neither does withdrawing troops mean we "abandon Iraq", just that we stop using (squandering) military assets to accomplish a non-miliary goal.
