So the US could have the best port operators in the world running our ports, but nooooooo
since "Dat ah arab company!" we instead get an insurance company operating our ports. Talk about yielding to the lowest denominator.

2. What always fascinated me about this debacle ...
DPW is a government owned entity .... The GOP Corporotacracy HATES the very notion of a 'government owned' ANYTHING .... so WHY did they promote this nationalized interest as an operator of the nation's ports ? ....

Was it because DPW could subrogate labor contracts and hire lower wage, no benefits workers ? ...

Was it 'payback', a quid pro quo to reward the oil baron buddies of Georgie and Dickie boy ? ...

Any way you slice and dice it: The GOP tried to have a government owned corporation run our nation's ports ...... a very odd thing ....
