FBI Probes GOP Nevada Governor For Corruption

Gibbons, a Republican who left the House last year after being elected governor of Nevada, is denying any wrongdoing in the FBI-led probe into his role in awarding contracts to eTreppid Technologies. Before becoming governor, Gibbons served five years in Congress where he was on the House Intelligence and Armed Services committees.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Gibbons asked the House ethics committee in November for an opinion about whether he improperly reported private jet flights and a Caribbean cruise paid for by businessman Warren Trepp, owner of eTreppid Technologies LLC, and a longtime friend of Jim Gibbons.

1. Guess it didn't stay in Vegas
geez the republican crooks are falling like dominoes.
No wonder they're so desperate to replace all the prosecutors.
It could be a race.

4. I have a bias in cases like this.
I think that, when FBI reports of an investigation of this type of corrupt political hacks, the bottom line is that the person is guilty. The only question is whether or not they will find enough rock solid evidence to convict.

Politicians are accomplished liars, deal makers, corner cutters and cover up artists, with republicans far worse-on any scale-than democrats. For the smarter ones, digging up evidence, even when the crimes are known, is probably much harder than it is on us rubes.

Politicians are definitely no more intelligent than most people, but their concepts and limits on honesty, integrity and fair play are are much looser and "adjustable."
