really, how can a Freeper excuse this?

I'd say closing FDA labs, especially after the peanut butter and spinach debacles, makes a heck of a good issue for Democrats to confront Bush and the GOP.

How much more plain can it be that the GOP and Bush only care about corporate donors.

1. I have to agree, this is a serious public health issue
There's no excuse for the government taking it lightly. Even Republicans have to recognize that food health is something that requires outside inspectors to minimize grief in the long term.

2. Of course they are.
There's no money to be made inspecting food. Damn I hate these people.

3. Just look for more cases of food poisoning
and food related deaths to come out in the next few years.

4. Yeah, but with ongoing cuts in public health, there will be no way to trace
illnesses like this back to their source (which is the ultimate objective here).

Lots of people will just be dying of those ubiquitous "flu-like illnesses" and no one will understand how or why. The germ theory of disease will become moot, when there are no structures in place to be disease detectives anymore.

But that's ok. This is apparently what the American people want. They voted for these freaks TWICE. I am running out of sympathy for my fellow citizens.

5. Well I just hope that my mom doesn't get one of these bugs.
Her immunosupressants won't allow for her body to fight 'em
