Would Whichever Mod Who Is On Duty In GD Tonight Please PM Me?
Edited on Sat Feb-17-07 03:03 AM by Wiley50
I see you disappeared my thread
and I would like to talk to you about it
Because you evidently have the wrong idea about my thread
and, probably, about me

Let's talk

It's only fair

On Edit: My thread had nothing to do with any harm or potential harm done to any current official.

It was a scholarly, historical thread concerning the level of public disapproval
at the time historic assassinations or attempts

It had absolutely NOTHING to do with the present times
or was it any threat on anyone

I know you won't bring back my thread
I just want you to understand my intent

2. mods aren't admins
That would be Skinner, EarlG or Elad.

I have no idea what your post was about, just trying to be helpful.

3. Ok. Thanks. Just Trying To Be a Good Citizen Here
But, It's strange that the person who deleted my thread
will not even speak to me
when I'm being quite civil

I'm not gonna bite anyones head off
I just want to communicate about it

4. I understand.
It could just be that all the mods are asleep. I don't think they are required to monitor the site all night. So good luck, unless your thread was something that I, personally, would find offensive.

:hi:

8. I really don't think you would find this offensive

You've been here about as long as I have

The thread was a historical inquiry about the state of the public mind at the times when a presidential asssination or attempt happened.

Nothing about the present situation

I understand Lincoln
There was a civil war going on

I don't know anything about McKinley

I was a child when Kennedy Happened

Then Ford?

Then Reagan?

I just want to know what the public sentiment was at the time

Absolutely nothing to do with any present day BS

5. Contact site administrator by email or pm
not by calling them out in a thread addressed to them. They can't read all of the threads, that's why we have the alert button. Try email or pm. :)

6. Thanks. But i could not hit an alert button on a thread that disappeared
I don't mean to call anyone out in the sense that I mean to embarrass them

But I looked at the Moderator link for the forum and there were about 8 of them

Which one to PM?

I've been here 3 years now and I've been a good citizen
so I don't want to blow it now

I just want a human being to explain why
they deleted a thread that broke none of the rules

I'm not gonna go off on them
If they have a good reason
for the best interest of the board
I'll be happy to agree, thank them and go on

But I don't like a chickenshit ignore

It just ain't legit

7. I didn't mean to imply you were calling them out to embarrass them
Edited on Sat Feb-17-07 04:40 AM by Nicole
I meant it in the way the rules are written:

6. Forum Administration: Respect the moderators and administrators, and respect their decisions. You can help make their job easier by clicking the "Alert" link on any post that might need moderator attention. Please understand that moderating errors and inconsistencies are inevitable on a large website like this. If you have a question about DU policies, or if you have a concern about an action a moderator has taken, please contact an admin privately.

If you go to the rules page, in rule 6 that I quoted above, there is a link to email the admin.

OR

Since this thread is already here, you could hit the alert button on this thread to get the mods' attention.

9. OK I'll Alert On Myself. I can do that.
I was trying to talk with them privately
That's why I asked in the subject line for them to PM me.

But it's been 3 Hours now
Anyone would get a little impatient

But Thanks Nicole
