The Senate voted not to even TALK about Iraq War.
Let's get clear on this. They refused even to discuss the single most pressing issue in our nation today. The issue that is killing and maiming our soldiers, draining our nation of dollars and resources, destroying our reputation and ability to conduct international relations with diplomacy, and is contributing to the destruction of our infrastructure.

THEY REFUSED TO EVEN TALK ABOUT IT!

1. The RepubliCONS and ___ Democrats REFUSED to even talk

about it.

Let's not blame it on the full Senate.

I still can't believe that Warner came to his senses.

Edited on Sat Feb-17-07 03:29 PM by ShortnFiery

7. Republicans filibustered vote on escalation
I really wish we'd learn the importance of language, after all this time.

8. We need to adopt the simplest language possible.
Many people do not follow the workings of the Senate and will not understand "fillibustered vote on escalation." They will understand that they refused to talk about it so they could make a decision. Cut to the chase.

Yes, language is important.

9. You're blaming the entire senate
How the hell does that help anything?

The public sure understood filibuster when Republicans threatened the nuclear option.

11. Yes, I do.
I not only blame the entire Senate for this mess, I blame the House too.

If the legislative branch of our government had done its job, we perhaps would not be in this mess. They have responsibility to the people to right the wrong done 4 years ago. Those who were present then need to make it right and those who have just been voted in are obligated as well.

12. and Bush added 1000 troops to the total of the surge
Just to thumb his nose at the "do nothings".

I say we start calling on repuke senators to step down. I say that we launch protests against them, their offices (peacefully of course). They sat there today and ran their damn mouthes about the dems being anti troop. So the repukes send even more to their deaths? WTF!!!
