2. Even "organic" can be a ripoff
Read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. He talks about how many big organic companies are only slightly better than the argribusinesses in terms of their treatment of animals. Here's an article he wrote for New York Times Magazine back in 2001, which is essentially a "preview" of what we later wrote:
