Is Pelosi The Most Left-Wing Speaker the US has ever had?

If so, that's awesome! It just seems like she is. She is the first woman speaker, which is a huge accomplishment on its own. Her past record though shows that she was a member of the Progressive Caucus, opposed Taft-Hartley, supported Single-Payer healthcare, against the war, supports women's choice gay marriage, euthanasia by choice and affirmative action, taxing the rich higher, universal education, very pro-environmentalist...the list really keeps going. there are a few stances you could take issue with, but that can be said for anyone that isn't you. Overall, as a progressive, I find her absolutely fantastic. She is the direction our party should be going in. She has also kept the party unified on key legislation more than Gephardt ever did.
