5. I hate these contests!

No, I actually love them, but there are always too many fine entries!!! I have taken to *really* considering the theme when I cast my vote, since so many of them would look fine just hanging over the mantel but don't really incorporate the theme. (This month's theme is easier to consider lol)

23. We were in San Francisco...

in August. Rented bicycles and rode across the bridge in the fog. When coming back across, the fog had lifted...an amazing city and such friendly people! We rode all day long...thru Golden Gate Park(beautiful), to Haight Ashbury, back to Pier 9. I cannot wait to go back someday.

However, it's a photo of the Narrows Bridge outside of Tacoma.

But, you are quite right...the Golden Gate Bridge is one beautiful structure! :hi:

(manmade, at least) than the Golden Gate Bridge breaking through the fog.

(And, yes, I realize the photo is a different bridge, but I agree with your assessment of San Francisco. One of my very favorite places in the world.)

28. I can't believe "Rising Into The Mist" isn't getting more votes...

That is as great a photo of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (yes, the successor to the one you all learned about in physics class) as I've ever seen.

It's about the only impressive suspension bridge around here, and I was thinking of photographing it myself for the contest, but decided no image I might take could compare with that one.

Voted for "Charles Bridge" instead... Not quite awake yet.
"Steel" is the best in my opinion, I love the contrast between the straight and the curved line and also the atmosphere. "Bridge to Biloxi" would be my second choice.

74. riverdale farm--i absolutely love this picture. i have a preference for

snow and winter scenes (even in the summer) and this is completely wonderful and serene. wish i had a poster size of this.
