GOP Senators up for reelection in 2008 and how they voted on the Iraq resolution
A majority of senators (56-34) voted yesterday to allow debate on the non-binding resolution opposing a troop escalation in Iraq. This fell short of the 60 votes required for approval to proceed.

All Democratic Senators voted in favor of the measure.

GOP Senators who are up for reelection in 2008:

Voting in favor

Norm Coleman of Minnesota
Susan Collins of Maine
Chuck Hagel of Nebraska
Gordon Smith of Oregon
John Warner of Virginia

Did not support the measure

Lamer Alexander of Tennessee
Wayne Allard of Colorado (retiring)
Saxby Chambliss of Georgia
Thad Cochran of Mississippi
John Cornyn of Texas
Larry Craig of Idaho
Elizabeth Dole of North Carolina
Pete Domenici of New Mexico
Mike Enzi of Wyoming
Lindsey Graham of South Carolina
Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma
Mitch McConnell of Kentucky
Pat Roberts of Kansas
Jeff Sessions of Alabama
Ted Stevens of Alaska
John Sununu of New Hampshire
David Vitter of Louisiana

Republican Senators Olympia Snow of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania supported the measure, but are not up for reelection in 2008.

1. Yea, well I sent a latter to Chambliss AGAIN complaining about his
vote on the war escalation, but I doubt it made any difference to him. Icontact him all the damn time, and when he responds, he either answers a question I didn't ask, or defends Shrub asbeing GREAT! Ohhh, I so hope Ga. can find a GREAT Dem. to run this AH out of office!

2. Same is true of Liddy Dole
If she had a brain, she wouldn't know how to use it. Such a sorry waste of taxpayer's money. I do so hope she can be defeated in '08.

3. At least with Liddy, there's rumors that she may retire!
I don't have that positive outlook with Saxby!

5. OH! Sorry. I hadn't heard that. Well, find a Dem who can
speak clearly to run against her. All they would have to do is point out the constant contradictions she makes!
