Anybody hear of an elevated terror threat level?

I just talked to my wife, who is changing flights in Chicago. She said it's up to Orange. I can't find anything anywhere on CNN or MSNBC's websites.

Makes me wonder what the chimp is up to now.

February 16, 2007 — The United States government national threat level Elevated, or Yellow.

The U.S. threat level is High, or Orange, for all domestic and international flights. Only small amounts of liquids, aerosols and gels are allowed in carry-on baggage.

4. I was on the TSA's website last night.

My wife was really disappointed that she wasn't allowed to carry on her plastic explosives, hand grenades, spearguns, Louisville slugger, axe, hatchet, and meat cleaver.

3. I think all large airports stay on "orange"

I went from PA to MN back in January.

The small airport I flew out of had alert level "yellow", but when I switched planes in Cinncinati and finally made it to MN - both of those airports were on "orange"

side chuckle - my partner quipped last night during a news story which showed a video of bush blabbering this week, it was followed by the "head on" commercial -- she said "ya know, someone should give bush a big f**king hammer and tell him to apply it to his forehead."
