This strikes me as a bit twisted
I am hearing that this year just the dems alone need to raise 100 million each just for their campaigns .

Now being of a conscience mind set leaning toward the underdog and down trodden of society I am a bit taken back hearing this . What I allude to is these very politicians knew damn well about new orleans and the miss gulf coast but yet they could not run a campaign to raise funds to save these lost people over a year ago but for their own self interests they can and will run all over the country .

This is what makes me sick to death of political actions , they don;t seem to realize that good causes would have boosted their goals with proven track records torward a good cause rather than sell themselves with future promises they for the most part will never fill .

2. 100m is a drop in the bucket re: Katrina
And no one would've given 100m just for that when it's the government's responsibility i.e. everyone's.

And control of the government means being able to distribute many billions in discretionary spending through budgeting.

3. the pathetic reality of our democracy today
actually an advertising budget. how sick is that.

I imagine a better way where the candidates actually debate in a forum and there are true press conferences with hard hitting questions, but alas and alack, this is ameriKa, land of dichotomy.
