Whoever you may be, I am really pleased to see I am recognized on here.

This place is the greatest, not so much for our unanimity on the serious events of our time, but more so for the free exchange of opposing viewpoints that can occur between us here at DU.

If anyone wants to see a true example of a healthy democratic exchange of ideas and suggestions, you have to go no farther than this forum.

I've been around DU for several years now, have seen all kinds of stuff going on - it really is this amazing "window" - all told, plusses and minuses, We are the People and this is our meeting place WAY more than any other I can think of. You can talk and listen to people here you would NEVER get a chance to otherwise.

I have a low post count, though I've been here for about a year (lurked for a few months before joining). I mostly just like to read all the news and info, see what others are saying about it and only occasionally have much of my own to add.

But the other night, I have to say, I was THRILLED to see that someone had given me a little heart!! I meant to type a post to say thanks, but felt kinda silly - I don't know why.

So to whoever gave me the heart, a huge THANK YOU!! :loveya:
