1. Go to Hell, Bill! And take "Music Row" with you too.
Edited on Sun Feb-18-07 06:09 PM by AX10
The Grammy Awards are the REAL DEAL. The CMA's are Country only. In spite of what the greater Country Music community and the Country Listener base believe, they are NOT the CENTER OF THE MUSIC WORLD, or the WORLD IN GENERAL! They are a part of it like all of us.

I would want nothing to do with the Nashville Country establishment!
I loved watching Reba have to eat Crow and enjoy it too!

John Rich looked like one of the Nazi officers from "The Sound of Music" who came to take the Von Trapps away after the music festival.

O'Reilly, in the usual Fox "news" fashion, cuts off anyone who he disagrees with.

12. What's even more ironic is that, depsite the alleged "Nashville
County Music Establishment," the city of Nashville is a deep blue in a sea of red counties surrounding it.

:hi:

20. Of course it is. Nashville is a very progressive city in a sea...
of "Regressive Red"!

2. the only thing that was missing was "Shut shut shut!"
i think O'Blowhole is maybe a little miffed that his book on audio didn't get nominated. BTW the lyrics to one of Ludarcris's new songs Runaway love, read it and tell me what you think, you'll never hear Billo making a social commentary like this one.

Now little Lisa is only 9 years old
She's trying to figure out why the world is so cold
Why she's all alone and ain't neva met her family
Mama's always gone and she never met her daddy
Part of her is missing and nobody will listen
Mama is on drugs getting high up in the kitchen
Bringing home men at different hours of the night
Starting with some laughs -- usually ending in a fight
Sneaking in her room while her mama's knocked out
Trying to have his way and little Lisa says 'ouch'
She tries to resist but then all he does is beat her
Tries to tell her mom but her mama don't believe her
Lisa is stuck up in the world on her own
Forced to think that hell is a place called home
Nothing else to do but get some clothes and pack
She says she's 'bout to run away and never come back.

Runaway love

Little Nicole is only 10 years old
She's steady trying to figure why the world is so cold
Why she's not pretty and nobody seems to like her
Alcoholic step-dad always wanna strike her
Yells and abuses, leaves her with some bruises
Teachers ask questions she making up excuses
Bleeding on the inside, crying on the out
It's only one girl really knows what she about
Her name is lil Stacy and they become friends
Promise that they always be tight 'til the end
Until one day lil Stacy gets shot
A drive by bullet went stray up on her block
Now Nicole stuck up in the world on her own
Forced to think that hell is a place called home
Nothing else to do but get her clothes and pack
She says she's 'bout to run away and never come back.

Runaway love

Little Erica is eleven years old
She's steady trying to figure why the world is so cold
So she pops x to get rid of all the pain
'Cause she's having sex with a boy who's sixteen
Emotions run deep and she thinks she's in love
So there's no protection he's using no glove
Never thinking 'bout the consequences of her actions
Living for today and not tomorrow's satisfaction
The days go by and her belly gets big
The father bails out he ain't ready for a kid
Knowing her mama will blow it all outta proportion
Plus she lives poor so no money for abortion
Erica is stuck up in the world on her own
Forced to think that hell is a place called home
Nothing else to do but get her clothes and pack
She say she's about to run away and never come back.

Runaway love
Don't keep on runnin'
Runnin' <4x>
Don't keep on running
I know how you feel, I've been there
I was runnin' away too

I will run away with you <2x>

Runaway Runaway Love
Don't keep running away
I'll run away with you, if you want me too

Yea, I can only image what you're going through ladies,
Sometimes I feel like running away myself,
So do me a favor right now and close your eyes,
And picture us running away together,
when we come back everything is gonna be okay,
Open your eyessss.......

22. Wow, those are very powerful, poignant lyrics!
This retired social worker can attest to the fact that this is a tragic reality for many kids.

3. I don't know why I listened to that. He didn't freak about the Dixie Chicks, though.
Edited on Sun Feb-18-07 06:14 PM by Miss Chybil
He freaked about the fact he was busted for not doing "good journalism" when he critiqued Ludacris' album before even listening to it.

Ack. I need to take a shower. I have that pickwad's voice all over me, now. Yuck.

4. yes him getting pissy about someone questioning his journalism cred is like
me getting pissed about some questioning my chemical engineering creditability, since i'm not a chemical engineer it would be kind of silly for me to get pissed at the questioner.

6. I realized something listening to his rant
It's pretty obvious but it really hit me when he was complaining about artists like Ludacris using the "n" word. Wingnuts like Bill are eager to bemoan racist lyrics while displaying said lyrics prominently on their programs in order to telegraph to their angry white male following. The typical Fox viewer/hate radio listener HATES that he can't get away with bigoted slurs in the workplace and in public anymore. O'Reilly is using Ludicris and other rappers as surrogates to say the things he really wants to say on his show.

Damn right he's taking it out of context. Taking it right out of it's context and putting it into his own.

list. But Ludacris is actually one of the more genuinely cool and intellectual rappers with any top tier level of success.

If you've ever heard him interviewed, like on Howard Stern, he's a very relatable non abrasive person. Utterly unlike people I consider to be selfish raging assholes such as Pharell and Kayne West, and straight up violent, evil people like "The Game".

8. Instead of going one-on-one with the guest, he hung up on him so he coud lash out unopposed!
You would think a guy like O'Reilly would want to go toe-to-toe with somebody who he felt slighted him, but he chose the easy way out. It seems like it's pretty easy to get under his skin!

His guest was knowledgeable, an industry spokesman, and told O'Reilly the truth. O'Reilly couldn't take it. He's not a man. He's a little whiny baby. Ha ha ha ha!!!

The gripe was about Ludicrous and not the Dixie Chicks. He was calm during Dixie Chicks, but when it came to Ludicrous and his use of the N word, he goes off.
