2. It is journalism. He's followed in the footsteps of Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite.
Journalism, in its pure form, is supposed to pull you into the eye of the hurricane, the center of the issue. It's supposed to rattle your cage and open your eyes and get you to think for yourself. It's not supposed to be some hair-helmeted dweeb reading the latest faxed talking points from the White House.

Olbermann's accomplished something that few in his profession have...he's a potent brand unto himself, immediately recognized by the initials "KO."

How many people think "Chris Matthews" when they see "CM?"

:patriot:

5. I saw him on Moyer's last night, and I what I saw was one
of the very few true Journalists we have left.

Pundits to the left of me, pundits to the right....here I am, stuck in the middle with you...:)

Journalism is work, punditry is just rattling off opinions...The reason there are so few true Journalists out there that get a hearing, is that they are drowned out by zealots that do little more than try and push their petty opinions upon the masses.

All we have ever asked for is the truth...we can handle it, we may not like it, but an informed populace is the only way we can make decisions that can take the country to new heights.

KO, is one of the few that gets a grasp of this...if only he'd get away from the whole B. Spears garbage....like anything a "celebrity" does is news anyway...:eyes:
