I met an RWA last night at a party. He was awful!
There were six of us, in three couples. The male host (whose wife cannot stand him, I find out) was the only bushbot at the gathering, the rest were all normal people.

The bushbot, whom I had not met before, turned out to be an arrogant prick. Big surprise huh! He complained at great length about the "low" (standard 8-foot) ceilings in his seemingly nice house, saying that he had grown accustomed to high ceilings, presumably in his princely palace, and simply could not survive under 8-foot ceilings (like, um, mine). His whining dominated the early part of the evening.

At one point Mr. RWA opined that bush had "saved America" (huh?) to a collective groan from the normals present. The guy never smiled, laughed, or said anything nice all evening.

Later, we played a party-type game which he won, bragging annoyingly throughout and trying to move his marker farther than he had earned. When we played a second time, he dropped behind badly in the beginning. Halfway through, still losing, he suddenly left the table and never came back! No goodbye, no explanation, he just left and we never saw him again! His wife said he "went to bed". I've never had a host do this. The rest of us chatted for a few more hours and then the party broke up.

This, apparently, is the 28% bushbot type we are always wondering about here. What a remarkably unpleasant person! The rest of us all got along fine.

3. Its a shame
Most of my Republican friends and family are not like that, we always have lively discussions and fun dinner parties. We constantly violate the "no politics at the table". Good times.

Probably just couldn't stand you liberal, lefty, commies any longer. I had this happen once when a friends spouse, who was ex-military intelligence and a sitting district court judge, actually went so far as to bring a book to a dinner party and sit there and read. Amazing.

6. Could be!
He was definitely the odd man out in various ways. Maybe he just couldn't take it any more, although there was little or no political discussion other than his spontaneous remark about bush.

9. But you were not using the "buzzwords" they use to identify each other. Sorta like "cult" members.

7. Diehard Bushie worshippers
Are really an angry bunch aren't they? Maybe your host was pissed because as a republican, especially one who worships Bush he wasn't part of the mores and have mores. 8 foot ceilings are a constant reminder that you're a never has been wannabe. And if he used to have the higher ceilings, then he's had to downgrade. Bummer!

:nopity:
