Do you think we are on overload ?
I wonder how much people can take when nothing is good news that we hear .

Man , there is Iraq , this corrupt criminal government , the shreaded constitution , the fate of the troops and Iraqis , the economy , global warming , job losses , a possible attack on Iran , homelessness , new orleans and the miss gulf coast , the biased media feeding us crap , oh I forgot , Afghanistan and I know there is more but this is enough to make me spin and ill .

2. Do like I do. Lean back in your chair and say,
"It's exactly what I expected."

Doesn't make the situation better but it's a tiny bit of vindication.

(where's that wry grin smilie when you need it?)

7. May I join?
The schadenfreude would be so much more enjoyable if I didn't have to live through it. *sigh*

Americans will come together and they will rid themselves of the vermin in WA.

from these filthy pigs who stole our government. Or am I dreaming?

8. Yes we do have that
and the rantings about the 2008 elections . This is enough for me to put a gun to my head .

In the last 6 years there is so much ruined and down the memory hole that I doubt anyone can really think clearly anylonger .

You just have to wonder what tomarrow will bring , what next and how will this affect us .

10. I know how you feel....
But sometimes I think it's fate or kismet. No great civilization reigns forever, and maybe it's just America's time to fall. Insane sociopathic leaders + an apathetic, self-absorbed public = Rome when it fell.

14.  You may be right
We have been heading here for some time now even though it was way out in the background .

I have to wonder sometimes , well lately alot of the time , it may be time for us to fall no matter what we try to do to stop this madness .

I sort of hoped I would live out my life free from this madness , I've seen alot already but nothing quite like this .

17. Don't have a gun
Now I hear all this about the troops being left out of the medical help on Randis show and this just adds to the over load .

I just am not the type who can contain all of this madness , it's so damn depressing .

I wish I could tune it all out but now nothing seems more important and I can't seem to shut it off .

19. I know.
It's just too much madness.

I started taking Prozac again, last week. absolutely hate the shit. Hopefully when spring gets here, I can go off it again.

I can't tune it out anymore either. Fighting the bastards usually is enough to hold off the madness, but not right now.

hang in there. so will i.

25.  I'm trying
I am on valium and lexapro was added to the list . I am a shaking mess everyday and now on SDI because of this and the no luck finding a job got me here so now it's next to impossible to leave the apartment .

I am really tying to find a shread of hope , it's desperate now .

I just wish every day that this was just some sort of nightmare and not the surreal /reality it is .

I feel such guilt being so disabled and out of society is a scary feeling .

28. I've been out of town for a day
visiting my dad.

That Lexapro is pretty weird shit. My ex was on that for a while and it made things worse. Get 'em to switch you to something else.

I'm disabled with fibromyalgia. I used to be a really active adventurous dude. So I know what you mean about being outside society. I got disability 3-1/2 years ago. The guilt part gets better after a while. Hell it isn't our fucking fault we're sick!

6. I think we have overlords who are not mindful of our general concerns
Edited on Mon Feb-19-07 09:18 PM by stellanoir
I feel deeply as much as I can know they are in their "last thows."

The short sighted idiots will be taken down by the same force that has taken down every imperial power throughout recorded history. That would be. . .by their own hubris.

If they think they can get away with attacking Iran after the acute blunder and totally inhumane destruction of Iraq, they are nutz.

They will fall.

"And all the King's horses and all the king's men won't be able to put them back together again."

tra la la

And have a nice evening.

9. Yes. And with today's "media"
you can hear about it and see it 24/7. The same relentless propaganda over and over and over --- drilling into your brain. The most glaring example: how many freakin' times did they replay those planes crashing into the Twin Towers? How many images or mentions of Anna Nicole do we have to hear/see in a given day? A dozen? Fifty? One Hundred? Of course flag-draped coffins of our brave dead troops are verboten.

12. When I`m feeling overloaded I take a break from the internet, where...
we get our realnews. I take my grandson to the park or a pet store or we just play chinese checkers. Sometimes a break is absolutely needed to keep yourself "on track". Everything must be put in perspective. Know what you can do something about and what you can`t. Never let the b&^#*^ds get you down! These are my mother`s very wise words! When my work would begin to weigh me down, my mom would remind me to never, ever let the b....rds get you down!

26. No
I think seeing the Mongols at one's gate would be worse news. My point is we in America have a privileged life compared to almost anyone in human history. A person on welfare has a longer life expectancy than a medieval king.

Bad things happen. People bounce back.
