DOD Will Only Fly Soldier Remains to a Major Airport

Another fairness issue, raised by Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., is the Pentagon's practice of transporting the remains of military personnel killed in Iraq only to the nearest major airport. Stupak said it "imposes a burden on the family and friends when they should instead receive our support." He has introduced legislation to require the DOD to deliver the remains to the military or civilian airport chosen by the family.

the US. It is probably these contractors that only want to hit the "big" cities. :grr:

3. I once knew a man who told me this.

'Since I was a black man and no white man would bury black men I did it and this war has been very good to me and sure bad for most black people'. He told me this when Vietnam was going on. I think he should have added that white men were dead also, it was just they had to spread the business around more as their was more white people in that business. But it was an interesting comment on some making money from death and foolish wars.
