BUSH & CHENEY SHOULD BE IMPEACHED! -Do NOT Forget What BUSH Said On 9/30/03
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 12:49 PM by kpete
We have to remember that George W. Bush said on September 30th, 2003:

"Listen, I know of nobody -- I don't know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information. If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action. And this investigation is a good thing."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/09/20030930-9.html

The Libby trials has DEFINITEVELY SHOWN that BUSH authorized the leak to Miller and Libby did the leaking - on orders from CHENEY.

The case against CHENEY HAS BEEN PROVEN - He gave info to Libby about Wilson's wife - Libby's lies have been attempts to cover for Cheney - He LIED to the FBI to cover to Cheney. Call it lying call it trying to fool, call it bullshit - EVERYTHING Libby has tried to feed Fitz, The Grand Jury and The American Peoples has been to COVER UP FOR CHENEY AND PROBABLY BUSH AS WELL.

BUSH AND CHENEY SHOULD BE IMPEACHED!

5. There's a catch, though. Bush declassified that information.
Whether he did it before it was released or after it was released is the catch.

At least, that's my take on it. This story has changed as many times as Ann Coulter's sex partners.

8. Declassifying information that outs a CIA NOC is still a crime, right?
I don't know how he can legitimately hide behind declassification if the intent is to bust our ME WMD intelligence capabilities. George HW Bush stated that there was no greater act of treason than outing a CIA undercover asset....guess Dimson wasn't paying attention when Dad made that point.

19. You're right, it was Cheney. Bush gave him permission in a secret
Executive Order IIRC. But hey, when the Decider's helper (or is it vice versa?) says it ain't classified, that should be good enough for the rest of us. :sarcasm:

Yes they did declassify her but they FAILED to follow protocol for informing effected parties that they were planning to declassify.

7. GASP! king george is a liar?
who knew?

You don't seriously expect congressional Democrats to interrupt their presidential campaigns and office redecorating to tend to a minor matter like the future of representative democracy in this country do you? Wouldn't be prudent to have impeachment on the table.

10. K&R Can somebody give me a GOOD answer for why
impeachment is not actively being discussed in Congress? Or, is it? I'm tired of hearing the DEMS are doing over-sight and investigations....it seems to me the truth is out! Why isn't this on the table NOW before * does more harm?

want it, do you think impeachment would pass? I would relish the discussion though.

originates in the House of Representatives......so one would think they could talk about it....oh what am I thinking about, I know better than that!

27. There is no "good" reason.
It defies logic. It defies their oaths of office. It defies our national values.

If they're refusing for some imagined partisan advantage (though IMO it defies rationality on that level too), then they are guilty of worse than dereliction of duty.

The worst of it is that since torture is ongoing, their failure to attempt to stop it defies the Geneva Conventions in itself.

Their inexplicable tacit approval of this never-elected, never-legitimate regime has rendered us a War Criminal Nation.

Only Impeachment ... can begin to Redeem the American People.

It IS the positive agenda.

It is our ONLY moral, patriotic option.

is punishable by receiving the The Presidential Medal of Freedom. Congress needs to get busy and remove the 'senior executive management' from their WH offices.

He did not mean what he was saying.

There are many other reasons to impeach * and Cheney besides what he said on 9/30/03.

Impeach, yes.

But I fear there is not enough intelligent life left in the Senate to do too much good. It is frightening, the lengths that the Repug senators will go to rationalize upholding a party line that is thoroughly corrupt.

Bush, as we all now know, can declassify anything at any time...

He can even DEclassify stuff tomorrow and claim he did it last week.

The smirk is the tell.

31. After all the bull over "it wasn't the BJ, it was that he LIED about it"
Bush has been a serial liar. He lied more than once over this one issue. It is clear to anyone who's been paying attention that this administration was a conspiracy to fraudulently commit this nation to war. Dick has lied multiple times, heck he was still spouting the nuclear lies in Ohio in 2004. The OSP existed for the sole purpose of bypassing statutory intelligence agencies. They also pipelined the INC info. They conducted an operation against this country's agencies, congress and free press. Impeachment is the least we can do to restore the integrity of our nation.
