Bill Clinton came to our area yesterday and late last night it made sense why.
My friend called me last night to let me know that her husband had been approached to be a precinct captain for Hillary. They don't have one yet here and are beating the bushes for one. Her husband begged off. Hillary's campaign has a day to come up with someone. My friend and I had speculated on why Bill was being brought to our rural area on such short notice. I think the two may be related.

1. desperation is such a pathetic emotion.
(not that choosing your friend is a sign of desperation)

2. "desperation is such a pathetic emotion."
An apartment house is on fire, and a child is caught on the top floor while the building is engulfed in flames. Would the mother, who prays for a fire rescue person to save her child, be "pathetic" in her desperation to save her child? When you use the word in the context of the Clinton campaign, the definition of that word does not change, and it does not become a word to be used exclusively for the Clintons. Sounds like you're desperate to change the definition of desperation to "any act the Clinton campaign chooses to implement."
You just called anyone who is desperate to end the war, feed their children, heal the economy, and end the ills of the Bush era, "pathetic". Thanks.

4. because Hillary is finding that she is running weakly in rural areas
seems strange though to wait until the last day to get a precient captain! they should have recruited earlier.

5. Arrogance
Only think about people when you need their help... In the meantime, forget about them and their problems.

7. Bill is in Burlington, Iowa as I type.
I just left a fantastic Biden Bash a few blocks away from Hibernia Hall, where Bill was appearing. I thought about going, as I do like to hear Bill speak, but my dog needed to be walked.

Just sayin'.
