Caucuses prompt prayers at Huckabee HQ

An evangelical prayer group of eight people held hands in the middle of an otherwise rather empty ballroom and prayed for about 20 minutes here just now.

The group was led by Rebekah Swicegood, a home-schooled 22-year-old music teacher from Lowell, Arkansas, where Huckabee, an ordained Baptist minister, once served as governor.

Swicegood and others in the group surrounded a Huckabee campaign sign as she uttered a fast-paced prayer about a mile a minute. Barely taking a breath, Swicegood prayed for "a man who will lead our nation back to you, Lord."

Other highlights of the prayer session included:

– "He’s not going to say, 'well maybe abortion is OK.'"

– “It’s not OK for man to be married to a man — or a woman to be married to a woman."

– "When Rome got to the point of accepting sodomy, they fell"

The tiny group of worshippers capped off the moment by singing “God Bless America.”

1. These people are scary
Wish they would leave my country alone. They need to get back in their holes. Can we find a nice, largish island for them?

I can't stand Huckabee and people like him talking about this being a Christian nation, or a Godly nation.

THIS NATION was founded on the "Separation of Church and State" for a reason. Most of the founding fathers were not traditional Christians. A good many of them were Deists, but to hear most of these people talk you would never know this.

7. Yep, I caught that. Today I was defending the right of women
not tohave to bear the offspring of a rapist after being raped.

These people are nuts and they are real, and they buy into intelligent design and hate evolution.

5. No, and in fact,
his supporters want the bible to be the Constitution.

If it ends up being Huckabee v. Obama, I'm going to make emergency plans to leave. If the Huckleberry gets the POTUS, I can guarantee you our democracy will end.

This motherfucker means what he says, and he's a lot more dangerous than people here are giving him credit for being.

Superior Indifference will be the Death of this country.

It simply fascinates me, in a very worrisome and horrifying way, how most of the country seems to be asleep about this guy.

I said this in another thread, but it is important enough to keep repeating:

Mike Huckabee represents the end of this country.

He is George Bush 2.0. whereas the Giggling Murderer was just playing a part for a part of his Base, THIS Madman is The REAL DEAL. He means everything he says, and if you think what he says is frightening, it's what he has NOT said yet, but will attempt to do once he is in office that is even MORE frightening.

If George Bush was the beginning of the end, Mike Huckabee is THE END ITSELF.

A few weeks ago when he burst on the scene seemingly out of nowhere, I began to sound the alarm with anyone I know, and anyone who would listen. You CANNOT giggle and snicker, and pooh-pooh the threat this man represents.

You do so at the very peril of the survival of the country.

Google, research what this man stands for and what he believes.

I share the opinion with the previous poster on this. The Calendar will be rolled back to 1932 if this man gets in, and America itself will be rolled back to the 12th Century, and that funny Inquisition Sketch from History Of The World Part I will not seem so funny as it will seem ironic.

America, YOU DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN.

Of course, many will chuckle and guffaw, and swear there is no way this man could ever win in the General Election.

That's what we said in 2000. And look what it cost us.

This time this miscalculation and underestimation of the criminals that seek to rule this country indefinitely will COST US EVERYTHING.

And besides, we have not had a FAIR Election in this country for quite some time now.

Do. Not. Ignore. This. Threat.

Huckabee is the most dangerous candidate there is. PERIOD.

The country cannot survive any of the other Republican Candidates either, but if you want a certain end to things, this guy is it.

Although I run a successful business, my family has well paying jobs right now, and we are relatively stable, WE WILL LEAVE if this guy gets into the White House. We take it that seriously.

11. Aw jeezus
:puke:

It seems that a nutcase like the huckster should be easy to beat, but there are lots and lots of other nutcases out there just like him, who really, really want him elected so that he can help put god "back" into the Constitution.

The possibility that he could pull off winning the general election scares me.

When we Witches get in a circle and chant prayers it's called evil, when they do it it's doing the Lord's work?

Help me out here somebody.

I think I'm gonna have to pray with my spiritual advisor Pastor Daniels.
