Clinton goes for young voters...She Is Lost

.....she is constantly redefining her campaign a sign she hasn't found anything that has stuck....She'll be gone next week...bye bye

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer 29 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - It wasn't long ago that Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign scoffed at the notion that young voters would deliver an election. How quickly thing can change.

Just seconds into her speech Friday morning, Clinton was declaring herself the candidate for America's youth — stealing a page from the new Democratic presidential front-runner, Barack Obama. The night before, the under-30 crowd came out in larger numbers than ever in Iowa caucuses normally dominated by the AARP-card set, delivering victory for the Illinois senator who promised to bring change to Washington.

2. The kids are not going to go for her -
she simply reminds them of the person who made them clean their rooms and eat their vegetables.

End of story.

6. Hillary is probably having a chat with the First Daughter this evening.
Actually, Chelsea will probably come to Mom and ask if she can help. She is that kind of kid.

5. My daughter is voting for the first time in November
She watched the speeches by both Obama and Clinton last night and was absolutely blown away by Obama. She couldn't stop talking about him afterwards. Hillary will never, ever connect like that with young people. She's desperate.

8. This is the type of thing that makes her look craven, IMO.
And her campaign geniuses should have been a little more subtle about it. As it stands, it looks like abject pandering.

Having said that, I trust Nedra Pickler as far as I can throw my refrigerator.

9. This has been her greatest strength and weakness all along
Everything is so calculated. She has a set of problems in front of her. She is looking for ways to go after them. This is straight out of the playbook of a political and corporate hack.

The problem is, it reeks of desperation and pandering. Very little of it comes off genuine. Politics doesn't work the same way corporate consulting does. Her husband understands that. Obama obviously does as well. She doesn't seem to get it.

10. Hillary comes off as calculated, that is her biggest problem....
It really hurts her because if she finds out this is her problem...what she would do is figure out a new persona to act like, maybe the persona of the straight talker. but it is too late. One more persona will only reinforce that she is not really real.

I do have a certain amount of sympathy for hillary. She is tragic in a way. But I think she is up against a wave that is not going her way this time.

13. No way, kids love Hillary.
They can't get enough of her "Let's Ban Videogames" policies. It's all they ever talk about.

Plus, the fact that she lost Iowa is good news, and Iraq is going swimmingly.

14. Hillary said young people were lazy and tried to censor video games.
Young voters don't like her one bit.
