Ooooh boy, this C-SPAN caller (Independent) doesn't seem to know
the difference between a "meet-n-greet" and a dinner meeting.

Was dissing the Dems because "they were just not connecting to people, whereas John McCain was at this other event."

Good grief, man, do you not see the difference between the two types of events?

:eyes:

1. Yeah, I said the same thing.
It's a Party dinner, not a town hall meeting.

2. You will never ever hear people screaming out
for John McCain, like they do for Obama.
like we heard last night, like we just heard on CSPAN
like I HOPE we're gonna hear every day forward.

GOBAMA. GOBAMA wooohhoooooo

3. Speaking of McCain, another caller just said that if we want to get
out of Iraq right away, we will elect McCain.

Apparently this guy didn't here his "1,000" year remark.

8. I heard that, too, SG
and said WTF? to hubby. "Didn't he know he said he didn't care if we stayed in Iraq for another 100 years?" I asked him. The guy was a real jerk.

14. Yeah, I heard that too...
then I realized that he probably thinks that his hero "General (I swear I heard him say General) McCain" is going to go in there with some huge military operation that will solve everything. I don't know, that's the only thing that I could imagine he was thinking, anyway...

7. That's the one I meant.
Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

My jaw dropped when the caller said that.

16. Nah, I think he was just playing off of Obama's "in 4 days" thing
and tried to use it to get his own point across that in four days New Hampshire would embrace McCain. I don't think he meant that McCain would solve the war in 4 days.

10. Independent, in my experience, is a euphamism for un-informed power-hound. nt

11. He did say he "leans Republican".
I'd say he's probably falling over in the presence of the R's.

17. "Leans Republican"
Sure, as in, voted solid "R" over the last six election cycles. Just like the new "Centrists" or "Libertarians" that seem to be cropping up all over the place, as they distance themselves from *.

18. Probably can't yet bring themselves to vote "D", so they are
doing what they think is the next best thing to identifying themselves as an "R".
