MAN’S GREATEST danger, it is said, is ignorance. In a very real sense, the Soviet Union’s ignorance of our military strength may be the source of her gravest peril—and ours. Kaiser Wilhelm started World War I because he miscalculated Allied power. Hitler, mistakenly thinking he could blitz the world, launched World War II. Kruschev today lacks firsthand knowledge of our country; he may be given what others think he would like to hear—rather than an objective report on our actual military strength. Although it seems impossible that any sane person could start a war, we would be wise to take no chances.

Why not invite the Soviet high command to the United States for a conducted tour of our military might? We are bringing Russians to see our farms and factories, our scientific laboratories and research centers; we exchange dancers and musicians. Why not have their military leaders over for the most beneficial look of all? Our expressed policy, the aim and purpose of our entire defense system, is to deter the Kremlin from starting a war. What better way to deter than to show?

What we could show is nothing more nor less than the greatest military might ever assembled in the history of the world. If the Soviet high command could see what we have, they should be of our mind—that for them to start war today would be an act of insanity.

We could start in a Pentagon briefing room. There, with maps, globes, films and sound-projection equipment to help illustrate our points, we could give them a good hard look at the distribution of American power. Then we could fly the group to Mountain Home Air Force Base in Montana, where bombers of the Strategic Air Command are on 24-hour alert, many ready to take off within 15 minutes. We could see an awe-inspiring line of B-47’s, any one of which can, in a single mission, deliver explosive power equivalent to that of all the bombs dropped by all sides in World War II. We could invite the commander of the Soviet air force to ride in one of these planes, and see it refueled in the air, thus quietly demonstrating that, while most Soviet bombers would have to fly one-way missions, ours can strike any target in the world and return nonstop.

The demonstration at SAC should effectively dismiss from Soviet minds any speculation about the possibility of their gaining an advantage from all-out war any time soon. But we must face the fact that in a few years the Russians may be able to zero in our SAC bases with ballistic missiles. To drive this temptation out of their minds, we could show them other deterrents.

The guy was on to something. You know how much they get for a B-2 these days? Two bill? Each?



Almost forgot. Prescott also discussed the strategic importance of Iraq –
the very same right next door to Iran, the very place the CIA and MI6 had, five years earlier,
replaced a democratically elected government with a despot, the Shah. For the oil, I’d wager.

It’s fortunate for them that we want only peace with justice. Our entire record attests to that. We have no history of aggression, profess no desire for world domination, as do the Communists. Only by their continued menace have we been forced to take these measures for defense.

I ASK, “Why don’t we show the Russians many of these defense measures?” What I would not show them is any self-satisfaction on our part about the future, any slowing-up of plans to produce the new weapons which must inevitably take the place of the old ones. I believe we are in a continuing struggle to keep on top in this business of declaring war. I think that the Russians are never to be underrated. I also believe that the Communists are master bluffers that they seek to put us off by arrogant threats to Berlin and to the peace of the far Pacific, and, while our people are preoccupied with these threats, they may try to take over Iraq as the Chinese Reds have conquered Tibet.

So. At least three generations of the Bush Family Evil Empire have had their eyes on Iraq’s oil. Interesting how Prescott mentioned Tibet's destruction by China. How was he to know his namesake would one day become head of the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce? The article also shows how Prescott boosted the Cold War, way back in ’59. It’s not so odd to think that three generations of crazy petrodollar-loving warmongers would rise to the top echelons of American leadership.

CHICAGO — When President Bush arrives in Beijing on Thursday, he'll embrace a policy that's something of a family tradition.

Bush's approach centers on promoting U.S.-China economic ties. That's a course favored not only by his father, the first President Bush, but also by his uncle, Prescott Bush Jr., a longtime acquaintance of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

The Bush family's ties to China go back to 1974, when President Nixon named George Bush ambassador to China. The college-age George W. Bush spent two months in China visiting his parents during his father's two-year stint.

Seven years after his brother left the ambassadorial post, Prescott Bush made his first trip to China. He later joined with Japanese partners in 1988 to build a golf course in Shanghai, the first in China. He met Jiang, who was then the mayor of Shanghai.

Prescott Bush, now 79, also developed a close working relationship with Rong Yiren, a former trade minister and vice president, who in 1993 introduced Bush to a group of Chinese business leaders as "an old friend." In 2000, Forbes publications reported that Rong, who has retired from government, was the richest man in China.

The president's uncle concedes that he sometimes relied on his name to open doors, but he says any deals he made were the result of his own hard work.

Last year, he opened the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce offices in Chicago. The membership roster includes United Airlines, American Express, McDonald's, Ford and Arthur Andersen, the beleaguered company that audited Enron's books.

Bush says opportunities abound now that the 1997-98 Asian financial crisis is in the past: "The Chinese are very much interested in getting foreign capital in. They desperately need the jobs."

Magnequench is an Indianapolis-based company. It specializes in the obscure field of sintered magnetics. Essentially, it makes tiny, high-tech magnets from rare-earth minerals ground down into a fine powder. The magnets are highly prized by electronics and aviation companies. But Magnequench's biggest client has been the Pentagon.

The neodymium-iron-boron magnets made by Magnequench are a crucial component in the guidance system of cruise missiles and the Joint Direct Attack Munition or JDAM bomb, which is made by Boeing and had a starring role in the spring bombing of Baghdad. Indeed, Magnequench enjoys a near monopoly on this market niche, supplying 85 percent of the rare-earth magnets that are used in the servo motors of these guided missiles and bombs.

But the Pentagon may soon be sending its orders for these parts to China, instead of Indiana. On September 15, 2004 Magnequench shuttered its last plant in Indiana, fired its 450 workers and began shipping its machine tools to a new plant in China. "We're handing over to the Chinese both our defense technology and our jobs in the midst of a deep recession," says Rep. Peter Visclosky, a Democrat from northern Indiana.

It gets stranger. Magnequench is not only moving its defense plants to China, it's actually owned by Chinese companies with close ties to the Chinese government.

Magnequench began its corporate life back in 1986 as a subsidiary of General Motors. Using Pentagon grants, GM had developed a new kind of permanent magnet material in the early 1980s. It began manufacturing the magnets in 1987 at the Magnequench factory in Anderson, Indiana.

In 1995, Magnequench was purchased from GM by Sextant Group, an investment company headed by Archibald Cox, Jr-the son of the Watergate prosecutor. After the takeover, Cox was named CEO. What few knew at the time was that Sextant was largely a front for two Chinese companies, San Huan New Material and the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Import and Export Corporation. Both of these companies have close ties to the Chinese government. Indeed, the ties were so intimate that the heads of both companies were in-laws of the late Chinese premier Deng Xiaopeng.

At the time of the takeover, Cox pledged to the workers that Magnequench was in it for the long haul, intending to invest money in the plants and committed to keeping the production line going for at least a decade.

Three years later Cox shut down the Anderson plant and shipped its assembly line to China. Now Cox is presiding over the closure of Magnequench's last factory in the US, the Valparaiso, Indiana plant that manufactures the magnets for the JDAM bomb. Most of the workers have already been fired.

1980-1986 China and the US sustain the Khmer Rouge with overt and covert aid in an effort to destabilize Cambodia’s Vietnam-backed government. With US backing, China supplies the Khmer Rouge with direct military aid. Zbigniew Brzezinski, national security adviser during the administration of President Carter, will later acknowledge, “I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot…. Pol Pot was an abomination. We could never support him, but China could.” Between 1979 and 1981, the World Food Program, which was strongly under US influence, provides nearly $12 million in food aid Thailand. Much of this aid makes its way to the Khmer Rouge. Two American relief aid workers, Linda Mason and Roger Brown, will later recount, “Thailand, the country that hosted the relief operation, and the US government, which funded the bulk of the relief operation, insisted that the Khmer Rouge be fed.” By the late 1980s, US aid is officially at $5 million. But this is supplemented significantly by secret CIA support to the tune of between $20 and $24 million. In total, perhaps as much as $85 million is ultimately funneled to Pol Pot’s group through various channels. The US and China are also responsible for the Khmer Rouge retaining its seat at the UN General Assembly. During this period, Khmer Rouge fighters attack “Cambodian villages, seed minefields, kill peasants and make off with their rice and cattle… <—> But they never seriously… the Phnom Penh government.”

Eugenics was the pseudoscience aimed at "improving" the human race. In its extreme, racist form, this meant wiping away all human beings deemed "unfit," preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in 27 states. In 1909, California became the third state to adopt such laws. Ultimately, eugenics practitioners coercively sterilized some 60,000 Americans, barred the marriage of thousands, forcibly segregated thousands in "colonies," and persecuted untold numbers in ways we are just learning. Before World War II, nearly half of coercive sterilizations were done in California, and even after the war, the state accounted for a third of all such surgeries.

California was considered an epicenter of the American eugenics movement. During the 20th century's first decades, California's eugenicists included potent but little-known race scientists, such as Army venereal disease specialist Dr. Paul Popenoe, citrus magnate Paul Gosney, Sacramento banker Charles Goethe, as well as members of the California state Board of Charities and Corrections and the University of California Board of Regents.

Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America's most respected scientists from such prestigious universities as Stanford, Yale, Harvard and Princeton. These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics' racist aims.

Stanford President David Starr Jordan originated the notion of "race and blood" in his 1902 racial epistle "Blood of a Nation," in which the university scholar declared that human qualities and conditions such as talent and poverty were passed through the blood.

In 1904, the Carnegie Institution established a laboratory complex at Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island that stockpiled millions of index cards on ordinary Americans, as researchers carefully plotted the removal of families, bloodlines and whole peoples. From Cold Spring Harbor, eugenics advocates agitated in the legislatures of America, as well as the nation's social service agencies and associations.

The Harriman railroad fortune paid local charities, such as the New York Bureau of Industries and Immigration, to seek out Jewish, Italian and other immigrants in New York and other crowded cities and subject them to deportation, confinement or forced sterilization.

The Rockefeller Foundation helped found the German eugenics program and even funded the program that Josef Mengele worked in before he went to Auschwitz.

Eighteen solutions were explored in a Carnegie-supported 1911 "Preliminary Report of the Committee of the Eugenic Section of the American Breeder's Association to Study and to Report on the Best Practical Means for Cutting Off the Defective Germ-Plasm in the Human Population." Point No. 8 was euthanasia.

The most commonly suggested method of eugenicide in the United States was a "lethal chamber" or public, locally operated gas chambers. In 1918, Popenoe, the Army venereal disease specialist during World War I, co-wrote the widely used textbook, "Applied Eugenics," which argued, "From an historical point of view, the first method which presents itself is execution . . . Its value in keeping up the standard of the race should not be underestimated." "Applied Eugenics" also devoted a chapter to "Lethal Selection," which operated "through the destruction of the individual by some adverse feature of the environment, such as excessive cold, or bacteria, or by bodily deficiency."

Eugenic breeders believed American society was not ready to implement an organized lethal solution. But many mental institutions and doctors practiced improvised medical lethality and passive euthanasia on their own. One institution in Lincoln, Ill., fed its incoming patients milk from tubercular cows believing a eugenically strong individual would be immune. Thirty to 40 percent annual death rates resulted at Lincoln. Some doctors practiced passive eugenicide one newborn infant at a time. Others doctors at mental institutions engaged in lethal neglect.

On Oct. 9, 1995, Secretary of State Warren Christopher ended a lengthy debate within the Clinton Administration by initialing a classified order that preserved the State Department's sharp limits on China's ability to launch American-made satellites aboard Chinese rockets.

Both American industry and state-owned Chinese companies had been lobbying for years to get the satellites off what is known as the `munitions list,' the inventory of America's most sensitive military and intelligence-gathering technology. But Mr. Christopher sided with the Defense Department, the intelligence agencies and some of his own advisers, who noted that commercial satellites held technological secrets that could jeopardize `significant military and intelligence interests.'

There was one more reason not to ease the controls, they wrote in a classified memorandum. Doing so would `raise suspicions that we are trying to evade China sanctions' imposed when the country was caught shipping weapons technology abroad--which is what happened in 1991 and 1993 for missile sales to Pakistan.

Other powerful Chinese state enterprises also had multibillion-dollar stakes in getting access to American satellites. Among them was the China International Trade and Investment Corporation, whose chairman, Wang Jun, gained unwanted attention in the United States last year when it was revealed that he attended one of Mr. Clinton's campaign coffee meetings in the White House. The day of Mr. Wang's visit, Mr. Clinton, in what Mr. Rubin said was a coincidence, signed waivers allowing the Chinese to launch four American satellites--though they were unrelated to the business interests of China International Trade.

Bush and Cheney: The Republican Party Dumps Lincoln and Nixon - Becomes A Closely Held Family Corporation

Every other year is an off-year in the federal election calendar. But on Election Day, 1975, Gerald Ford, the first president in United States history to be directly appointed by Congress without the interference of the voters, reshuffled his cabinet and White House Staff.

Dick Cheney, the Republican Vice-Presidential nominee, was nominated to be President Ford's Chief of Staff. General Brent Scowcroft was nominated to be head of the National Security Council when Henry Kissinger became Secretary of State. And George H. W. Bush, father of this year's Republican presidential nominee, was nominated to become Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Cheney, Scowcroft and Vice-President Bush would all reappear in prominent roles during the Iran-Contra scandal during Ronald Reagan's second term. But more significantly, these Ford partisans in the Republican party were significantly responsible for forcing President Nixon from office and contributing to the pattern of politically motivated presidential impeachments and threats of impeachment which culminated in President Clinton's impeachment in 1998.

Throughout American history, the U.S. House of Representatives has tried to choose the president, in direct contradiction of the constitutional intent of having the president chosen by the states. This unconstitutional choice mechanism has been institutionalized in campaign finance reform, where the House, which appropriates the funds, pays for the presidential campaigns of the major party candidates. Why McCain's campaign finance reform proposals were anathema to the authoritarians who don't trust the voters to choose the president. Now that Bush is the Republican nominee, comparisons are being made with the only other son of a president to become president, John Quincy Adams. John Quincy Adams was also chosen by the House of Representatives. Adams received only one-third of the vote in the 1824 election to Andrew Jackson's 40%. But Jackson didn't get a majority in the electoral college. So Henry Clay, the third major candidate, threw his support to Adams in exchange for becoming Secretary of State, considered at the time to be a stepping stone to the White House. Instead, Andrew Jackson was elected president in 1828 with just under 56% of the vote, which was the biggest popular vote margin in history until Theodore Roosevelt's election in 1904.

It's clear that by joining the cabal that urged Nixon to leave office, the elder Bush and Cheney are not faithful to the will of the voters. They know better. George W. is cut from the same piece of cloth. Nixon, one of only 7 Republicans to be elected president twice, and one of less than half a dozen presidents to receive electoral votes in more than two elections, has not been mentioned at the 2000 Republican national convention. George W. Bush says his priorities are faith, family, and country. That does not hold out much hope for democracy or the voters, not to mention separation of church and state.

The Bush Family, and the Houston oil constituency that President Bush represented in the House of Representatives, is America's link to national interests in Iran, specifically the Shah of Iran. Not surprisingly, Dick Cheney was Chairman of Halliburton, an oil exploration company, when he was selected as Bush's Vice-Presidential running mate. In 1953, the United States supported the overthrow of a democratically elected Iranian government and the installation of a hereditary ruler in its stead. At that time, President Bush was a "businessman" in the oil industry. More likely, Bush was a cut-out for the CIA. Who would be more reliable than the son of a Senator. (Prescott Bush, the father of President George Bush, and grandfather of George W. Bush, was a United States Senator from Connecticut from 1953 to 1963.) It is more than likely that President Bush was America's Yuri Andropov, the intelligence aparatchik who rose to the top of the heap.

Desert Storm was the liberation of Kuwait from Iraq, but it was also the restoration of hereditary rulers to their assets. In the 1950's and '60's, when Israel was the target of an Arab boycott, Iran surreptitiously supplied Israel's oil. So, it may not be entirely a coincidence that the Israeli-Palestinian peace summit collapsed on the day Dick Cheney was announced as George W. Bushes Vice-Presidential nominee. Nixon was alleged to have offered South Vietnamese President Thieu a better deal if he won, prompting Thieu to obstruct the Paris Peace talks in advance of the 1968 presidential election.

BRETT McCABE: I would like to introduce now, a man who is very well known as an independent investigator and author. He's worked for 20 years to expose U.S. government involvement in mind control and murder. John Judge has also investigated the history of Fascism and political assassination and cover-up from Nazi Germany to John F Kennedy to Jonestown, Guyana. He works to expose US plans for concentration camps and genocide, here and abroad. He has had articles published in Critique, Utne Reader, Madness Network News, and Overthrow, and has spoken on these topics on radio, television, and in public forums since 1968. So, without wasting any more time, I introduce to you, John Judge.

JOHN JUDGE: Thank you. I started this work, really, in a sense, when I started to visit the Pentagon library. My parents, my mother and father, and my aunt who I lived with, worked as civilian employees in the Pentagon, and they used to take me in when I was a kid. And by the 6th grade, I had a 12th grade reading level, because I went to this private school, where they kind of pushed us. So they would drop me off in the library for the day, and I used to go through the stuff in there, because I was, you know, 10-11 years old, nobody seemed to care much what I was looking at. And I found it pretty interesting.

And one of the things I figured out back then, because I was interested in UFOs, was that they were really government spy craft, and not extraterrestrial craft from some other place. And for those of you who wanted them to be extraterrestrial, maybe a few of them were. But most of them were a Nazi secret weapon that was developed in the aerospace caves outside of Berlin, and seen by GIs when they came in, along with the jet engines. And it was a technology that was kept secret. Like William S Burroughs says, `If this was the Middle Ages, and Magellen was an American, and we sailed around the planet and found out it was round instead of flat, we wouldn't tell anybody so we could attack from the rear.'

So, I really began the research and the work there. And I like to research, I like to read. And I would go to these cocktail parties in my neighborhood around Christmas time, and the guy across the street sold all the weapons to Howard Hughes, and the next door neighbor was CIA, and two doors down was NASA, and those were my neighbors in Falls Church, VA when I grew up, and they would get a little stewed, and they'd talk about business.

And I thought it was all pretty strange, but I didn't have any reason to question that there was a secret government, because I lived with that secret government. And you get Bill Moyers now, and he tells you, `Well, there's a legitimate government, but from time to time, to do a certain job, they hire a rather unseemly crew, and sometimes they get a little out of control and make trouble.'

I'd suggest it's the other way around: that the real government are the people that are doing the killing, and that they hire the people in the three piece suits to stand up and make you think you've got a democracy in front of you. Don't you think that's what it is?

See, because the real government kills people, and that's part of how it stays in power. Now, if you go back to the period at the end of the Weimar Republic, in the late `20s and the early `30s, before Hitler rose to power, you'll find a pattern of political assassinations.

It's depicted, interestingly, in Ingmar Bergman's probably least distributed film, The Serpent's Egg. And, the people that begin to die are the labor leaders, the political activists, the musicians. The people who might have an effective public voice, and might stand against the Fascism, begin to die in large numbers. And the German police admitted that these were political assassinations. But they said they couldn't solve them. They couldn't make the historical link to what was happening, or they could but were paid not to, like many of the investigations that we have now in this country: They couldn't solve those murders.

And, at that point, a different position was taken by some of the Allied countries. There were divisions within the class as to how much money should have been expended on these Fascists. There were others there who supported them, but it was time to regroup. It was time to back off a little, to try to get what they had together. The resources were more or less expended in the effort to set up a permanent war economy, which Charles Wilson from General Electric talked about. And to go into what they called the `Cold War,' or `low intensity warfare,' and genocide against Third World people, while they continued to build the empire and maintain the hegemony. And to re-establish the Fourth Reich, the Fascism, not only here in the United States but throughout the world.

And part of that involved moving those Nazis all over the world. Moving those Fascists. And not all the Germans were Fascists, and not all the Fascists were German. There were Japanese Fascists, if you remember. Some of them seem to be still in control today. There was a kind of veiled threat, recently, from the Prime Minister of Japan, that the forces that operated in World War II hadn't forgotten what the US did to them; and that they were ready to rise back up if we didn't stop messing around on these trade issues for the international exchange. So the threat of them, you know, is still there. We talk a lot about Nuremberg, but much less about the Japanese war crime trials.

And it's known now, for instance, that when MacArthur's group went in, they found evidence of the POWs being experimented on with chemical and biological weapons by the Japanese. That they let all the scientists that did those war crimes off the hook, in exchange for the information that they could give them about how the weapons worked. So that, to them, was a fair trade.

Many of those scientists, many of the munitions and aerospace experts, many of the spies, (about 300 of them, in fact, under General Reinhard Gehlen, who had headed up Hitler's intelligence network for the east and the Soviet Union) were brought, from 1943 up until even more recently in the present day, into the United States and into other countries around the world, South Africa included. There's quite a bit of collaboration between the South African government and World War II Fascists and Nazis. But the Fascism was an indigenous problem in many, many countries. It didn't just exist in Nazi Germany. There were groups of Fascists that the Nazis were able to use in many countries as collaborationist governments.

And the real hidden history of World War II was, in fact, the defeat in many places of those forces by more progressive elements. By people who were, out of reasons of patriotism, or out of a more progressive political philosophy, bound and determined to take back some freedom. And that's a history that hasn't had as much play as the standard version of the Allied powers: these empires getting together to defeat these things, the actual struggles of the resistance to Fascism in the different countries and what role that played.

Assassination was always a tool for them; not only the mass death, but the individual death of the people that could make a difference, of the politicians that might make a change, of the people that stood in the way. And they perfected those techniques, and those techniques were brought here and used in the United States. So that when Mae Brussell did her work with the Warren Commission, and I spent several years reading the volumes and going into depth (and I went through about 300 cubic feet of material in the Archives). We found those people in the Commission Record. In key places. And I'll just talk to you about a few of them, so you can get a sense of who these people are that I'm talking about, and how they would play in.

One important one is an American, in fact, an American Fascist by the name of John J McCloy. McCloy was a Rockefeller banking lawyer. I saw Marcel Ophuls who did some of the films on the Nuremburg situation, The Sorrow and the Pity, and Memory of Justice, at a public talk. And someone came up and asked him about McCloy, `Is he connected to the internationals?' And Ophuls said, `It would be more accurate to say the internationals are connected to him.'

The use of mercenaries was once a dirty, little secret most governments were loath to acknowledge. But today they're called private military contractors and perform almost every function essential to military operations. The Financial Times has labeled this trend the "creeping privatization of the business of war."

During the first Gulf War, about two percent of U.S. military personnel were private workers. As of 2003, it had reached 10 percent. The Pentagon employs more than 700,000 private contractors, and at least $33 billion of the $416 billion in military spending overwhelmingly approved by the Senate last week will go to PMCs.

In Iraq, these companies supply more trainers and security forces than all remaining members of the "coalition of the willing" except the United States. Approximately 15,000 civilian security guards are stationed there, at least 6,000 of them armed. Some contractors maintain sophisticated weapons systems that used to be handled by the army. More than $20 billion -- almost a third of the Army's budget for Iraq and Afghanistan -- goes to contractors.

One advantage of using private forces is to keep down the casualty count. Although non-military casualties aren't included in official Pentagon reports, Peters Singer, author of "Corporate Warriors," estimates that at least 30 contractors have been killed in Iraq and about 180 have been wounded.

But giving contractors prominent roles does pose risks. For example, Caci International and the Titan Corporation have been implicated in charges of torture, humiliation and rape leveled at the U.S. military in Iraq.

How did we get here?

In 1969, the U.S. Army had about 1.5 million active duty soldiers. By 1992, the figure had been cut by half. Over the last decade, however, the United States has mobilized to intervene in several significant conflicts, and as a result, a corporate "foreign legion" has filled the gap between policy imperatives and what a downsized, over-stretched military can provide.

The push to privatize gained significant traction during the first Bush administration. After the Gulf War, the Pentagon, then headed by Defense Secretary Dick Cheney, awarded a Halliburton subsidiary nearly $9 million to study how PMCs could support soldiers in combat zones. The company has since won at least $2.5 billion to construct and run military bases, some in secret locations, as part of the Army's Logistics Civil Augmentation Program.

Mistakes Were Made.

(The following notes for a study I did on the origins and history of US intelligence organizations.) =20

Within this cult of secrecy weapons research and testing on unconventional weapons was accelerated, and Fort Deitrick, Maryland specialized in bacteriological warfare. (B.W.) In l900, during the U.S. military occupation of Havana, a vicious scourge of yellow fever raged through the cities barrios like a river of death killing and terrifying 14. thousands. Yellow fever is a frightful virus that begins with thesudden onset of fever usually accompanied by a chill and severe pain inthe head, back, and limbs. The body temperature spikes swiftly until it reaches a maximum of 103- 105 degrees. Other symptoms include excruciating abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and jaundice. This stage may last from a few hours to several days. In it's secondary stage the feverflares back to its original elevation, the skin turns yellow, and repeated vomiting occurs, spewing dark blood, usually followed by death. U.S. army doctors led by Walter Reed helped discover that yellow feveris a virus transmitted by mosquito bites and Havana was cleansed of breeding areas.=20

Sixty years after Dr. Reed's death many residents of a small north Florida town began to experience symptoms of yellow fever and dengue. Carver Village, whose residents in l960 were exclusively black, reported the mysterious appearance of fevers, bronchitis, typhoid, encephalitis, stillbirths, and deaths.(cockburn) Collaborating under cover of top secret classification, United States Army B.W. researchers at Fort Detrick, had among other things, developed the ability of breeding one hundred and thirty million mosquitoes a month. The Army, in a biological warfare test, released these insects over Savannah, Georgia and Avon Park, Florida but Carver Village was selected to determine the productivity of targeted transmission of yellow fever and dengue by mosquito's. (Cockburn New Statesmen 28-1-94 p22)

Fort Deitrick, fifty miles from Washington D.C., was 15. designated, by presidential directive in l942, as the United State's principle biological and chemical warfare research center. =A8(Leonard A. Cole,Totowa, N.J., Rowman and Littlefield, l988) Fort Deitrick, a l983 army brochure reported, studies "some of the most virulent and pathogenic microorganisms which are threats to U.S. military forces." ibid. The sixteen page document goes on to list some of the organism's and agents studied including " the Lassa fever virus, Ebola virus, various hemorrhagic fever viruses, botulism and anthrax toxins, T-2 and other mycotoxins, equine encephalomyelitis, Q fever, tularemia, yellow fever, and Rift valley fever". ibid 36=20

In l947 the World War Two Allies began the prosecution of twenty three German physicians, at Nuremberg, accused of committing crimes against humanity including human medical experimentation. U.S. Brigadier General Telford Taylor charged, in his opening remarks, that the defendants included "leaders of German scientific medicine with excellent international reputations" and that "all of them have in common a callous lack of consideration and human regard for, and an unprincipled willingness to abuse their power, over the poor, unfortunate, defenseless creatures who had been deprived of their rights by a ruthless and criminal government." (Psychiatry and the CIA: Victims of Mind Control p214 American Psychiatric Press London , l990) He added, the self-evident, that all of them had violated their Hippocratic oaths.16.=20

In one set of experiments, dogs were matched to burn victims, replicating the severity of burn on the patient by inflicting a similar level on the animal. The dogs and people than received similar treatments except the dogs were subjected to irradiation. Dr. Evans discovered that the irradiated dogs had a death rate five times higher than 18. unradiated control dogs. Then, in a scene out of Buchenwald, Dr. Evans injected patients at the three hospitals with radioactive isotopes which could have contributed to the destruction of the red blood cells in critically burned and frightened people fighting for survival. opcit The goal of these experiments was to learn the best treatment for casualties of a nuclear war.=20

The subjects were poor, black, and perilously vulnerable. These people believed they were being helped, the "treatment" they received had little to do with their injury's. This incident was a graphic illustration of the arrogance of power, institutionalized racism, and endemic corruption of elements of the U.S. state security apparatus, where crimes against humanity were perpetrated with morbid impunity. Presumably, Japanese medical authorities have conducted comprehensive studies of the effects of nuclear attack's on civilian targets and published much of their findings in the literature.=20

Between l953 and l958, African American patients of the Federal Addiction Research Center in Lexington, Kentucky, were given LSD (cockburn ibid) in an experiment which reported, in part, "the degree of rapport attained so far is not as great as we would expect with white subjects." Code named MK-ULTURA, this CIA funded experiment was launched to determine if LSD could be used in brainwashing, interrogations, or as a "truth serum". L.S.D. (lysergic sauer diethylamide) is a 19. hallucinogenic psychotomemetic substance which can have the effect of mimicking the symptoms of full blown psychosis. Many people experience illusions, hallucinations, acute anxiety, and have been known to becomesuicidal.* (US Dept. Of Justice Drugs,Crime and the Justice System.) Most of the subject's were heroin addicts incarcerated at Lexington for treatment of their narcotic habits. They were given double, triple, and quadruple doses for more than seventy five consecutive days. Their cooperation was encouraged with payment's of heroin and morphine. (cockburn)=20

...The sobering fact, already familiar to the Russians, is that bases for SAC use now practically circle the Northern Hemisphere. They are on the alert in many places, including Japan, Okinawa, Guam, the United States, Canada, Alaska, Greenland, England, Spain and North Africa, forming a trap with many triggers. An attack against any one of these bases would touch off the massed might of the others to destroy the war-making capacity of any nation attempting all-out aggression upon this country of the rest of the free world.

The demonstration at SAC should effectively dismiss from Soviet minds any speculation about the possibility of their gaining an advantage from all-out war any time soon. But we must face the fact that in a few years the Russians may be able to zero in our SAC bases with ballistic missiles. To drive this temptation out of their minds, we could show them other deterrents.

First, we could take a ride in one of our atomic-powered submarines. These can slither at startling speeds clear around the world without surfacing. The Soviet naval experts could observe the Nautilus’s sonar pick up the sound of destroyers many miles distant, while her own turbines are detectable for only a few thousand yards. We’d show them that hunting these submarines to destroy them before they attack is like looking for a needle in a haystack; repeatedly in maneuvers they elude aircraft and, though submerged, outrun surface ships.

Then we could show our guests the U.S.S. Observation Island, a freighter which the Navy has converted into a testing ground for Polaris, the new atomic-armed ballistic missile fired from under water. Before the Soviet Union can have dependable intercontinental missiles in quantity, we will have Polaris ready. It meets virtually every test for the perfect deterrent: it is designed to reach almost any target in the Communist area, is highly immune to all forms of enemy attack, including ballistic missiles. No power on earth can prevent our nuclear subs from ringing Russia with a silent and deadly deterrent force.

Thus it should be obvious, as Gen. Nathan F. Twining, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has made clear, that with SAC we are strong enough now to deter an all-out attack, and that our deterrent power will be strengthened by the addition of Polaris in the near future.

While convincing our visitors of the insanity of all-out war, we could also show them the futility of starting limited war. To do this, we could usher them into twin-jet attack bombers, fly them off the Florida coast to the aircraft carrier Independence. They would land right on the deck, coming from 135 miles an hour to a full stop in three or four seconds. Such a carrier, of course, is escorted by the destroyers, cruisers and submarines of its task force. Few persons who have never actually set foot on one of these traveling armored cities have any conception of their versatility, striking power and mobility.

We would explain that the mission of our 14 carriers is to destroy targets from which an enemy can launch weapons dangerous to our Navy—such as submarine bases and airfields. Also, at the beginning of a nuclear war, they would help SAC pulverize other military targets. Four carriers in the Atlantic, eight in the Pacific and two in the Mediterranean, equipped with planes able to fly atomic bombs 1500 miles, can reach virtually any target.

Then we could demonstrate for the Soviet military leaders how our amphibious forces operate. In a mock exercise of rushing assistance to a third country under sudden attack, we would send out groups of Marines, delivered by helicopter and dispersed over a wide area, and followed up by more Marines making beach landings. One Soviet observer could land with them and be with the forward troops. He would see how this global Marine force uses close air support from carriers instead of artillery; the rocket-powered Bull Pup, a tactical missile that can be steered to hit precisely on enemy bunkers: and dozens of other ultra-modern techniques. Other observers on board ship would see how fast a carrier launches its striking power. Attack planes, more than half a hundred of them, catapult across the deck, one very few seconds, far faster than planes take off from land....

Sam Bush was in his era to Remington Arms what Dick Cheney is to Halliburton in ours. Son of an Episcopal minister, he switched to a darker religion. Sam started out as low-management for railroads, where he made the connections needed to move over to Buckeye Steel Castings Company. Buckeye harbored railroad strike-breaker sentiment from the president on down. It's founder was member of the "Cleveland Gatling Gun Battery",<1> called a military and social organization, set up in 1878, the year after nationwide railroad strikes.

This guns and railroad connection returns for World War I, when Buckeye Steel produced gun barrels and shell casings, and Sam Bush was moved by his patrons into the position of chief of the Ordnance, Small Arms and Ammunition Section of the War Industries Board. The former Florida governor has said repeatedly he won’t be a candidate in 2008 despite encouragement from his father, the former president, and his brother, the current one. But Jeb Bush’s support, even tacit, would be critical in the state that decided the 2000 presidential election.

“Governor Bush said, ‘Before you commit, I want you to meet Mitt Romney. He is the kind of guy you will like no matter what,’“ said former Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings. “The governor was very candid about the fact that he really liked this guy.”

Jennings, the woman Bush chose as his lieutenant governor, is one of several former Bush confidantes in the Romney camp. Others include his hand-picked, former state party chairman Al Cardenas, and Sally Bradshaw, Bush’s former campaign manager and chief of staff.

Now on Romney’s payroll, these former Bush stalwarts are working to help the candidate overcome his lack of name identification in Florida. A recent statewide Quinnipiac poll of Republicans showed Romney in single digits compared to Sen. John McCain, Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich, who has not announced his candidacy.

During World War 1, the atrocity story came into its own as an instrument of foreign policy. In those simpler days, governments could turn public opinion against the enemy with tales of individual brutality: the rape of a nun, the bayonetting of a baby, or the execution of a Red Cross nurse. Such propaganda externalized the issues and focused national attention on an appropriate scapegoat. Doubters or dissenters were swept aside in the patriotic fallout, in an emotional downpour that insisted, “Once at war, to reason is treason.”

This crude propaganda, however, had a temporary, war-related quality which often foundered on its own exaggerations. The idea of truth in those days had not yet been obliterated by the continuous covert manipulation of information in peacetime just as in war; nor had deception, secrecy, and lying come to be so much a part of the national menu as to be swallowed whole like the junk food that satiates the public appetite. Today there is no better example of the corrupted circumstances that now confront the consumer of news than the undercover campaign of official disinformation about Cuba.

Having failed to restore its hegemony over Cuba in the Bay of Pigs invasion or in the long, secret war waged under the code name “Operation Mongoose,” the United States Central Intelligence Agency recently stepped up its 20-year psychological warfare operations to discredit and destroy the Cuban government and any other Latin American or Caribbean government which stands in ideological unity with them. Propaganda aimed at that small, struggling country intentionally manipulates emotions of horror, revulsion, and fear in the uninformed citizen of the Yankee Colossus. Cuba is falsely pictured by the U.S. as embracing in its foreign policy the contemporary apocalyptic trio: drugs, criminality, and terrorism - a far more terrible spectre than the individual bloodletting of the World War I propaganda. Images of corrupted American youth, gangsterism, and revolutionary violence sent from Cuba throughout Latin America are daily media fare for the American public.

Cuba as scapegoat and Fidel Castro as the implacable enemy of world national security interests have become easy answers for the complex realities of hemispheric change. And the sophisticated techniques with which official information about Cuba is concealed, denied, created, regulated, shaped, and planted seem to have heightened public acceptance of the Big Lie.

While a shoot-out at credibility gap might not rescue the truth about Cuba from the hands of its abductors, a historical perspective of official U.S. deception operations against its own people might at least innoculate some against further ravages of this advancing affliction.

Arnaud de Borchgrave, who works actively with several governments’ security services, has a difficult time keeping his “journalism” and his spying separate. One of the reasons he was fired from Newsweek magazine was that he kept dossiers on the co-workers whom he suspected of being KGB dupes. Robert Moss has also had a longtime relationship with the CIA, which financed his book on Chile. He too was “let go” from his job as editor of the London Economist’s Foreign Report because his intelligence connections gave his columns a taint which could not be ignored. The Spike, a badly written novel by these two unsavory characters, presaged the disinformation era with all its ramifications.

On Oct 8, 1998, the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act became US law. This legislation:

“...calls for the establishment of the Nazi War Criminal Records Interagency Working Group to locate, identify, and make available to the public Nazi war criminal records.” (1)

The IWG’s task was to organize previously classified documents from the OSS, predecessor of the CIA, as well as from the CIA and other intelligence sources, and to make these documents available to the public. These were to include documents relating to possible collusion between US government organizations and Nazi war criminals.

Millions of pages have been released but very little information has trickled down to the broad public. And this trickle has been presented in a way calculated to minimize public awareness of the extent to which the Nazi apparatus was recruited in order - literally - to *become* the US covert operations and intelligence apparatus (the CIA etc.)

This story centers around the figure of Reinhard Gehlen.

Who was Reinhard Gehlen, and how did US intelligence use him?

From April 1942 on, Gehlen was head of German Armies East, the Nazi Army’s intelligence corps in conquered Soviet territory. Commenting on the release of some previously classified documents concerning Gehlen, the IWG wrote:

“Working immediately after the war with Army Intelligence, the Gehlen Organization became the responsibility of the CIA, which continued the relationship until 1956. One document released by the IWG on June 26, 2000, shows an early connection between the Strategic Services Unit (predecessor of the CIA) and Gehlen’s group. The SSU searched for members of Gehlen’s organization in POW camps and extensively interrogated them. As the Cold War developed during 1946, American intelligence officials found themselves lacking recent experience with Soviet intelligence activities and decided to use German experts on the Soviet Union - even though some may have been war criminals.”(2)

The above paragraph includes not one false statement; yet it is completely misleading. This suggests that the IWG’s talent may lie in disinformation rather than research.

1) The statement that the Gehlen organization was “working...with Army Intelligence” is misleading because “working with” implies equality of power: one does not “work with” men hiding from the law. The Nazis recruited by US intelligence were wanted for the worst war crimes; they were “employees” whose alternative was the hangman's noose. Surely they did what they were told.

2) The use of “working with” is also misleading because it suggests that Gehlen’s Organization (the 'Org’) was separate from the Strategic Services Unit and later from the CIA. This is not true. Gehlen’s Org became a decisive, perhaps *the* decisive component of the CIA’s worldwide apparatus. Its thousands of highly experienced operatives, much older than incoming CIA recruits, had to have a big effect on the culture of the CIA. Thus, US intelligence was Nazified.

3) The statement that, “As the Cold War developed during 1946, American intelligence officials found themselves lacking recent experience with Soviet intelligence activities and decided to use German experts on the Soviet Union - even though some may have been war criminals,” is false for three reasons.


a) First, it states that the advent of the so-called Cold War preceded the decision to use Gehlen. But in fact, the relationship between US intelligence and Gehlen began before World War II ended. That is, it began considerably before the ‘outbreak’ of the Cold War.

b) Second, under the terms of the agreements at the Potsdam Conference, (2A)


"5. War criminals and those who have participated in planning or carrying out Nazi enterprises involving or resulting in atrocities or war crimes shall be arrested and brought to judgment. Nazi leaders, influential Nazi supporters and high officials of Nazi organizations and institutions and any other persons dangerous to the occupation or its objectives shall be arrested and interned."

As we shall see, Gehlen and his Foreign Armies East organization did participate in "planning or carrying out Nazi enterprises involving or resulting in atrocities or war crimes."

Moreover, Gehlen brought numerous SS and Gestapo figures into the Gehlen Org, as his part of the US intelligence apparatus was known. US intelligence officials were required under the terms of the Nuremberg Tribunal to arrest these men. Given that US intelligence officials would inevitably discover whom he was recruiting, Gehlen would not have dared to involve SS and Gestapo officers without US approval. <2B>

The world's richest individuals have placed $11.5 trillion of assets in offshore havens, mainly as a tax avoidance measure. The shock new figure - 10 times Britain's GDP - is contained in the most authoritative study of the wealth held in offshore accounts ever conducted.

The study, by Tax Justice Network, a group of accountants and economists concerned at the escalating wealth held in offshore locations, shows that the world's high-net-worth individuals earn $860 billion each year from their assets.

But there is growing alarm among regulators and campaigners because exchequers worldwide are missing out on at least $255bn of tax each year. Governments appear unable, or unwilling, to prevent the rich employing aggressive strategies to minimise their tax liabilities.
The OECD this weekend confirmed that international tax avoidance is a growing problem that troubles governments not just of rich countries, but middle-income ones as well.

'This is one of the defining crises of our times,' said John Christensen, co-ordinator of the Tax Justice Network and a former economic adviser to the Jersey government. 'One of the most fundamental changes in our society in recent years is how money and the rich have become more mobile. This has resul ted in the wealthy becoming less inclined to associate with normal society and feeling no obligation to pay taxes.'

In Houston and Denver, the president, his son, and White House chief of staff James Baker were surrounded socially and financially by the biggest feeders at the national taxpayers' trough. Bush's current campaign manager, Fred Malek, was a partner of a big S&L defaulter in a bank they founded with the help of Mafia-tainted money.

Robert Clarke, a friend of George Bush and Jim Baker, and the man they named as U.S. comptroller of the currency, helped organize a bank that laundered S&L money into an overseas account; he also was a shareholder in a bank the government found to be under the "influence or control" of a Mob figure.

Of the five biggest S&L defaulters ($200 million each), four have connections to George Bush's longtime friend Walter Mischer (also a friend of Chief of Staff Jim Baker), or to Neil Bush's friend and mentor, Bill Walters.

Bush's friend and former Houston landlord, Joe Russo, defaulted on loans totaling tens of millions of dollars from five failed S&Ls, and his own bank went bust at taxpayers' expense. Texas examiners filed two criminal referrals with the Justice Department, which took no action. . . .

Bush visited with the Denver man who set up Neil Bush and business, and who would later take huge loans from Silverado that he never repaid.

A very odd kind of art exhibit is making a bit of a splash in both the art world and the world of conspiracy theories. The artist is the late Mark Lombardi whose works consist of charts or maps of connections between political groups, individuals, money sources and so on showing the complex relationships often pointed out by conspiracy theorists.

There was a minor recent scandal when one of Lombardi's works won a prize but the person who put up the prize retracted the money.

Here's a writeup of the artist from the website of Independent Curators International which is having an exhibit of his work:

"Truly an artist’s artist, the Brooklyn-born Mark Lombardi (1951–2000) has been compared to Robert Smithson and Gordon Matta-Clark, in terms of the complexity of his work and the significant influence he has had. Lombardi’s drawings are visual narratives of the way money flows in our post-imperial, transnational economy: from corporations to political organizations, from individuals to various ad hoc groups, most of them acting outside of national boundaries— and often outside the law. The coup was aimed at toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell Hse & George Bush?s Grandfather, Prescott) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression

The conspirators were operating under the umbrella of a front group called the American Liberty League, which included many families that are still household names today, including Heinz, Colgate, Birds Eye and General Motors.

In 1936, William Dodd, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, wrote a letter to President Roosevelt in which he stated,

"A clique of U.S. industrialists is hell-bent to bring a fascist state to supplant our democratic government and is working closely with the fascist regime in Germany and Italy. I have had plenty of opportunity in my post in Berlin to witness how close some of our American ruling families are to the Nazi regime.... A prominent executive of one of the largest corporations, told me point blank that he would be ready to take definite action to bring fascism into America if President Roosevelt continued his progressive policies. Certain American industrialists had a great deal to do with bringing fascist regimes into being in both Germany and Italy. They extended aid to help Fascism occupy the seat of power, and they are helping to keep it there. Propagandists for fascist groups try to dismiss the fascist scare. We should be aware of the symptoms. When industrialists ignore laws designed for social and economic progress they will seek recourse to a fascist state when the institutions of our government compel them to comply with the provisions."

A carefully kept secret is the strong sympathy and corporate connections that existed between many of the most powerful American capitalists and German capitalists and their fascist system. Rockefeller-owned Standard Oil of New Jersey had close patent and other ties to I.G. Farben, the giant German corporation that used slave labor at Auschwitz. Standard Oil delivered oil to the Nazis through Switzerland and Spain and even refueled German submarines at Teneriffe in the Canary Islands. At the back of a book called Trading With the Enemy by Charles Higham is a photocopy of an intelligence document from an American officer complaining about this refueling operation and the presence of Nazi officers on Standard's oil tankers. Standard Oil also made tetraethyl lead and synthetic rubber available to the Nazis. Tetraethyl lead is an essential ingredient in aviation gasoline. Standard Oil was investigated several times by Congressional committees for trading with the enemy, but they were too powerful for anything substantive to be done. Chase Bank, also owned by Rockefeller, stayed open in Paris all during the war and helped finance the Nazis.

Rockefeller is far from alone in this collaboration with the Nazis. Both Henry Ford and Edsel Ford were great admirers of fascism, and Ford built trucks and armored cars for the Nazis in France. General Motors, owned by the DuPont family, manufactured tanks and the aircraft engines for the Junkers bombers at the Adam-Opel plant in Russelsheim,Germany. ITT supplied fuses for artillery shells and all sorts of communications equipment to the Nazis. In addition, they built the Focke-Wulf bombers for the Luftwaffe. Sosthenes Behn of ITT was a major financier of the Swedish ball bearing firm SKF, which preferentially supplied the Nazis with ball bearings and denied them to the US military.

These American capitalists were so important and influential in Nazi Germany that Hitler awarded the Order of Merit of the Golden Eagle to both Henry Ford and James Mooney, the director of operations for General Motors in Europe.

Irenee du Pont organized the Black Legion in the United States. This was a fascist organization that terrorized and murdered union leaders and disrupted union organizing campaigns. The members wore hoods and black robes with skull and crossbones. Another of his organizations was the American Liberty League, which taught hatred of blacks and Jews, love of Hitler and loathing of the Roosevelts. The DuPont and Morgan families even approached Major General Smedley Butler through an intermediary to determine if a military coup could be organized against President Roosevelt because Roosevelt's programs for the poor and working class were so hated by DuPont and other important American capitalists. Major General Butler was deeply offended and reported the plot to Roosevelt.

German and American capitalists were as thick as thieves, often sitting on the boards of directors of the same corporation. They repeatedly tried to get a peace agreement between the United States and Germany that would allow a world fascist government and destroy the common enemy-socialism in the Soviet Union. Hitler obstructed these efforts. It should come as no great surprise to people that after World War 2, the CIA utilized Nazi war criminals in their covert wars against leftists worldwide or that the Republican Party, which represents fascist capitalists like the DuPonts and Fords, should accept a large number of these European fascists into their ranks.

To bring this matter of fascism and the Republican Party up to date, both George W. Bush's grandfather and great-grandfather were on the board of Brown Brothers Harriman, which was so flagrant in its financing of the Nazis that two of its subsidiaries, Union Banking Co. and Hamburg-Amerika Shipping Line, were seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act. Now, the present administration is pushing ahead with its war for empire under the disguise of a "war on terrorism." It is fervently attempting to destroy civil liberties in this country using the same excuse. They can now imprison US citizens as enemy combatants with no charges, no access to lawyers and one's family and friends not knowing where one is imprisoned. One is essentially "disappeared," similar to what the CIA-sponsored death squads did in Latin America, except one is not killed. With the second Patriot Act, they can even take away one's citizenship. What I am saying is this. The present US administration is not just sympathetic to fascism. They are fascists, and their war agenda in an age of nuclear weapons is extremely dangerous to our survival as a species!

Prescott & American corporations did not succeed but many would argue that two generations down the line (BushCo) the mission has all but been accomplished.

Now that he was outside of Texas, Farish found himself in the shipping
business -- like the Bush family. He hired Nazi German crews for Standard
Oil tankers. And he hired "Emil Helfferich," chairman of the
Walker/Bush/Harriman Hamburg-Amerika Line, as chairman also of the Standard
Oil Company subsidiary in Germany. Karl Lindemann, board member of
Hamburg-Amerika, also became a top Farish-Standard executive in Germany.

This interlock between their Nazi German operations put Farish together
with Prescott Bush in a small, select group of men operating from abroad
through Hitler's "revolution," and calculating that they would never be
punished.

In 1939, Farish's daughter Martha married Averell Harriman's nephew, Edward
Harriman Gerry, and Farish in-laws became Prescott Bush's partners at 59
Broadway. Note #1 Note #5

Both Emil Helfferich and Karl Lindemann were authorized to write checks to
Heinrich Himmler, chief of the Nazi SS, on a special Standard Oil account.
This account was managed by the German-British-American banker, Kurt von
Schroeder. According to U.S. intelligence d ocuments reviewed by author
Anthony Sutton, Helfferich continued his payments to the SS into 1944, when
the SS was supervising the mass murder at the Standard-I.G. Farben
Auschwitz and other death camps. Helfferich told Allied interrogators after
the war that these were not his personal contributions -- they were
corporate Standard Oil funds. Note #1 Note #6

After pleading "no contest" to charges of criminal conspiracy with the
Nazis, William Stamps Farish was fined $5,000. (Similar fines were levied
against Standard Oil -- $5,000 each for the parent company and for several
subsidiaries.) This of course did not interfere with the millions of
dollars that Farish had acquired in conjunction with Hitler's New Order, as
a large stockholder, chairman, and president of Standard Oil. All the
government sought was the use of patents which his company had given to the
Nazis -- the Auschwitz patents -- but had withheld from the U.S. military
and industry.

But a war was on, and if young men were to be asked to die fighting Hitler
.. something more was needed. Farish was hauled before the Senate committee
investigating the national defense program. The committee chairman, Senator
Harry Truman, told newsmen before Farish testified: "I think this
approaches treason." Note #1 Note #7

Farish began breaking apart at these hearings. He shouted his "indignation"
at the senators, and claimed he was not "disloyal."

After the March-April hearings ended, more dirt came gushing out of the
Justice Department and the Congress on Farish and Standard Oil. Farish had
deceived the U.S. Navy to prevent the Navy from acquiring certain patents,
while supplying them to the Nazi war machine; meanwhile, he was supplying
gasoline and tetraethyl lead to Germany's submarines and air force.
Communications between Standard and I.G. Farben from the outbreak of World
War II were released to the Senate, showing that Farish's organization had
arranged to deceive the U.S. government into passing over Nazi-owned
assets: They would nominally buy I.G.'s share in certain patents because
"in the event of war between ourselves and Germany ... it would certainly
be very undesireable to have this 20 percent Standard-I.G. pass to an alien
property custodian of the U.S. who might sell it to an unfriendly
interest." Note #1 Note #8

John D. Rockefeller, Jr. (father of David, Nelson, and John D. Rockefeller
III), the controlling owner of Standard Oil, told the Roosevelt
administration that he knew nothing of the day-to-day affairs of his
company, that all these matters were handled by Farish and other
executives. Note #1 Note #9

In August, Farish was brought back for more testimony. He was now
frequently accused of lying. Farish was crushed under the intense, public
grilling; he became morose, ashen. While Prescott Bush escaped publicity
when the government seized his Nazi banking organization in October, Farish
had been nailed. He collapsed and died of a heart attack on November 29,
1942

In 1974, a year after orchestrating a mass terror bombing of Cambodia -- after being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize -- Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and his National Security Council completed “National Security Study Memo 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests.” This document, whose sharp edges are dulled by page after leaden page of how to reduce overpopulation in the Third World through birth control and “other” population-reduction programs, was classified until 1989, but was almost immediately accepted as US policy, and remains the US blueprint for ethnic cleansing today.

It is difficult to imagine the staggering number of innocent humans who have perished through war or famine as a direct result of Kissinger’s half-century obsession with, and lust for, genocide. It’s even more difficult to imagine the cruel indifference with which Kissinger, and those like him in positions of political and corporate power -- the elite -- continue to plan the elimination of millions, even billions. All under the guise of national security, or to spread freedom . . . democracy . . .

Kissinger targeted a number of “key countries” whose populations, he said, must be curtailed and controlled lest they gain economic, political and military strength, and thus threaten US strategic interests. “Depopulation should be the highest priority of foreign policy towards the Third World,” Kissinger said, “because the US economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less developed countries.”

Then, as now, any nation refusing to surrender its natural resources was an ominous threat to our national security and was dealt with initially through birth control and other population-reduction programs such as food rationing. But that was too slow for Kissinger, for Brent Scowcroft who replaced Kissinger as national security adviser and was put in charge of thinning out the Third World population, and for his eager enabler, CIA Director George H.W. Bush who trotted like a love-starved puppy at Kissinger’s heels for decades.

At first, they used food as “an instrument of national power” to coerce the dumb masses to stop copulating and populating, and then as a deadly weapon because widespread famine not only dealt death quicker, but it was cost-effective. And it made more sense. Like Kissinger said, “To give food aid to a country just because they (sic) are starving is a pretty weak reason.”

If we could imagine the suffering endured by victims of such perverse inhumanity, we might feel a twinge of outrage or, as George Washington so succinctly put it, a “little spark of celestial fire called conscience.” Or not. Perhaps we are so far removed from reality because our minds cannot grasp the horror of that reality. Those who seek to destroy the denizens of this planet are totally without compassion or remorse. They are grotesque mutants who kill indiscriminately in their relentless drive for world conquest and domination.

Tampa based Well Care's offices were raided by state and federal agents last fall. Well Care "manages" millions of people on Medicaid and Medicare as well as other health programs, including children.

One of Well Care's executives is/was Ruben Jose King-Shaw. King-Shaw was brought into this criminal administration in May 2001 by BFEE long time made man Tommy Thompson (when Tommy was Secretary of Health and Human Services) as Deputy director of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services/CMS-the worlds largest health finance organization.

Well Care is currently still under investigation on a variety of possible criminal charges.
After "serving" at CMS Ruben Jose King-Shaw was appointed an assistant to the Decider's Secretary of the Treasury.

King-Shaw also got on the Board of Directors of Athena Health in 2003.

Athena Health's co-founder, President and CEO is none other than Jonathan Bush, Jr.

Jonathan Bush, Jr. is another son of a Bush-Jonathan James Bush, poppy's bro that was so "instrumental" in the affairs of the Riggs Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Black budget BFEE financial networks are everywhere, and BFEE's "healthcare" is really about eugenics.

Ruben Jose King-Shaw Jr. was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of MEDirect Latino Inc. last April before the Well Care raids in Tampa.
