Did anyone see Elizabeth Edwards on Hardball ??
My wife said she looked tired and a little slow in responding? Elizabeth, if you are reading this, slow down a little. Don't try to go faster than you are capable of going. Sometimes we can gain ground by simply slowing down and thinking about a better way to get from point A to point B.

John has the message that America needs. He must continue to believe that. He only needs to hone his message a little more. Perhaps he may want to remind the voters of New Hampshire that Big Media is also part of the "Big Corporation" problem with our country. So far, they and the political consultants have made about $300 million dollars off this campaign at last estimate. They have a financial interest in this election.

Perhaps John may want to remind voters why we need campaign finance reform. It is the "corporate media" that is calling the shots and doing their best to put a person in the White House that is friendly to their concerns. Those that are not in sympathy with the corporations will be ignored or will be scrutinized into irrelevancy.

Also, he may want to remind the voters once again that the polls show that he will do better against the Republican candidates than any other Democrat running. They are not afraid of John Edwards but they are afraid of his message. Populism is a deadly concoction when it is spiked with the truth.

1. She prerecorded that, and was at the 100 Club Dinner in Milford NH tonight.
Her husband was in Portsmouth at a town meeting.

She's not going to stop until he does.

2. my Mom noticed that too about her
but considering that she just went a ton of hours campaigning with John, it's understandable. Hopefully she'll stay in bed tonight and early tomorrow just to catch up on energy. She's a trooper, I tell ya, could run circles around me! lol She zinged ol Tweety several times, he was such an idiot in behavior with her, but I'm glad he allowed her to tell him why she was a tad upset with him, he's professional that way. Hopefully he'll change, because he didn't later in the show - it was ALL OBAMA/CLINTON...

But you're right, she'll stop only when John stops. God bless em...

3. He's the farthest thing from professional
He let her old school him because he actually LIKES her.
He doesn't seem to care for John, but, he has a boner for Elizabeth.
I think he is in a kind of awe of her.

5. it's one of his few redeeming qualities as a talking head
that he actually will let people shoot back at him. he does like her a bit too disgustingly, doesn't he... lol. woulda been hilarious had she said, "well thanks Chris, but I am married, remember?"

4. Elizabeth Edwards could run circles around me!
The last leg of Iowa included a 36-hour marathon through the state, which
culminated with a late-night concert with John Meloncamp Wednesday night.

Now, they're out of Iowa and at breakneck speed in NH.

I truly do not know how they do it. I really would love to know, because
I was wiped out for a week, after taking my kids to Disney World for 8
days last month. That was nothing compared to the crazy-hectic pace in which
these people are immersed right now.

I bet she is just tired. I'd be on the floor in a heap!

I met Elizabeth Edwards at an Iowa rally last week. She was so adorable
and she had this amazing sparkle in her eyes. She looked terrific and
had she had so much energy. John took tons of questions and left after
the rally, and Elizabeth stayed until nearly everyone was gone, answered
questions and shook hands.

They all must take vitamins that we mere mortals don't know about! :)

6. I honestly can't see how ANY of the candidates keep up that pace.
I've been exhausted following this these past few months, and I just sit at my computer all day.

It's got to be grueling for them all, and I especially hope it doesn't take its toll on Elizabeth.

Didn't they just come off a 30-some hour non-stop marathon?

8. Would any media outlet even ALLOW ANY media personality to go after a corp. figure that had cancer?!
The way Chris Matthews mercilessly challenged Edwards' wife
in an attempt to pump up Obama, the Harvard liberal candidate?!

I will gladly support Obama when I see him cut a deal with
the Edwards camp for high-level involvement in a future
Administration including Edwards or someone similar for VP.

The fact that most people aren't even thinking that far ahead
is rather sad.

They will be sorely dissapointed when they realize the fix is in
the moment Hillary drops out of the race and the party elders
present Obama with an offer he cannot refuse, demand compensation
for Hillary's defeat, just like they did to Kerry after he picked
Edwards as VP.

He will either join forces with Edwards and say "fuck you" to the
Clinton/Rockefeller Republican media elite or else kiss their
ring and repudiate Edwards for someone like Richardson (who almost
surely would be Obama's VP choice were he not hispanic -- "too much
ethnic" in one ticket.) It's an either or choice, the Clintonites
are like the Godfather, they don't allow people to feign loyalty,
they guarantee that hawkish, economicallt conservative Georgetown
coctail characters remain influential even if they're consistently
misguided.

Here's hoping Obama realizes that spurning Edwards populism for center-right "middle class progressivism" of the Wilsonian, JFK
variety, will alienate quite a few Dems.

13. I don't know if she is currently taking chemotherapy
but I was warned when I started chemo in May that one of the side effects would be periods of "fatigue", not tiredness, not weariness but fatigue. I can attest to that. The fact she can do what she has done and will do while struggling with cancer shows fortitude I wish I possessed.
