16. My God (and religious belief) and candidate is the only one

is what makes people turn against organized religion and politicans but not necessarily God. In times of religious fervor people turn against the tyranny (theocracy).

At the turn of the last century we had the same extreme political, social, economical, and religious society. Oh..it's now the next century and they want to go back to it? It's good they don't get their wish since the turn of the Century didn't bring an end to the world. No one knows for sure when that is. Or if it is true or not. Many holy books are written by man (under the direction of their God).

Bush has taken us back 100 years (or more since he wants the Dark Ages). Nor did God pick Bush for religious wars by murdering,robbing,jailing and torturing innocent people and destroying their country.

As far as I know God didn't say any religious group should take over the world and is the only true religion. Only they will see heaven. Not Baptists, Methodists, Evangelical groups, Roman Catholics, Mormons, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, etc. Clergy state that they are it because they don't want the people leaving their religious sect for another (you will go to hell, etc.).

So...get over yourself political candidates when you push your religious agenda on others. They have a right to go another way or to stay where they are.

According to our Constitution we have freedom to worship when and if we please. We also have a right to say no to any religious organization using our public dollars. Today certain candidates of both parties use "religious cronyism" to get votes (with my tax dollars). Why would I vote or support them when they are self interested traitors who care little about our democracy?

When they come between my country and democracy I will chose to give them up but not God. I don't need clergy or a building to worship if I want to worship at all.
