MSNBC: OMG: Obama is a winner because there is a traffic jam outside his speech.
I am glad people are listening, but is this the press trying to get there, or actual citizens?

I laughed when the Edwards spokesperson was on earlier (yes Edwards is still running), and said John had 500 people last night at a NH meeting and had a traffic jam too. I doubt that his traffic jam was the press trying to get there. The Edwards spokesperson did very well, btw.

1. FWIW, Charlie Cook was just on and he said if Obama wins NH, it's over.
He said Obama is picking up support with each passing day. And he believes that unless Clinton and/or Edwards find a way to slow it down, he'll win NH, and if he wins NH, the momentum will continue to build and he'll win the nomination.

4. That's Why I Hope Clinton Wins NH
I'm an Edwards supporter and as bleak as it looks for my guy, I haven't given up hope yet.

But, I don't want it to be easy. I don't want our candidate before the Super Bowl. I want a long primary in which as many states as possible have a say. Even though these campaigns have been going on for over a year, people are just now paying attention. Let's not rush to judgement. Let's thwart the media who has been trying for over a year to make this into a two person race on the Democratic side.

If Clinton wins NH and Edwards can pull off South Carolina or Nevada we might have an interesting race. If Richardson can win an early state or do well enough to attract more media attention, it might be more interesting yet.

Now, no matter which candidate you are supporting, think of how cool it would be if Clinton wins NH, Edwards SC and Richardson NV. Your guy or gal can pull off the nomination eventually (maybe in March), but wouldn't it be neat to have a real contest until then?

7. I think it makes him the undisputed front runner
But Clinton, and to a lesser degree Edwards, have strong organizations and have the skills to stage a comeback.

But, yes, in politics, like in sports, the big mo is, well, big.

3. well, the auditorium he was due to speak in was packed
so, yes, the traffic jam stuff might be absurd, and how many show up to this event doesn't prove in any way that he'll win, but there is significant interest in him.

5. I think the point is that the corporate media covers some
"traffic jams" and not others. An equal traffic jam at Edwards' event was not covered.
