Ask Corporate Media--Who will be Obama's Rumsfeld
Cheney

The Media has repeated their GWB Performance. This is exactly
how they put GWB in office. To reassure public they praised
his selecting wise old Men. Americans could rest easy. Who
will be his Neocon Advisors.

They have not vetted Obama. Some Journalists question his
credentials but TB Media just ignore any responsibilty.

Why should we even vote.

Welcome to another GWB term--the Conservative Left Version.

Obama even quotes Regan.

2. Pay attention to what he is saying.
Close your eyes a listen carefully. You will be surprised at how Republican lite Obama is. I find if you listen to what they say and what the implications are you will be very surprised.

ISRAEL
by Ali Abunimah
March 05, 2007

I first met Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama almost ten years ago when, as my representative in the Illinois state senate, he came to speak at the University of Chicago. He impressed me as progressive, intelligent and charismatic. I distinctly remember thinking 'if only a man of this calibre could become president one day.'

On Friday Obama gave a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Chicago. It had been much anticipated in American Jewish political circles which buzzed about his intensive efforts to woo wealthy pro-Israel campaign donors who up to now have generally leaned towards his main rival Senator Hillary Clinton.

Reviewing the speech, Ha'aretz Washington correspondent Shmuel Rosner concluded that Obama "sounded as strong as Clinton, as supportive as Bush, as friendly as Giuliani. At least rhetorically, Obama passed any test anyone might have wanted him to pass. So, he is pro-Israel. Period."

Israel is "our strongest ally in the region and its only established democracy," Obama said, assuring his audience that "we must preserve our total commitment to our unique defense relationship with Israel by fully funding military assistance and continuing work on the Arrow and related missile defense programs." Such advanced multi-billion dollar systems he asserted, would help Israel "deter missile attacks from as far as Tehran and as close as Gaza." As if the starved, besieged and traumatized population of Gaza are about to develop intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Obama offered not a single word of criticism of Israel, of its relentless settlement and wall construction, of the closures that make life unlivable for millions of Palestinians.

3. Are you suggesting that an Obama administration...
...would appoint Cheney SoD? If so I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you. And a couple of crack pipes.

9. per the not yet brutal vetting... an alternative explanation:
The media is lazy. They thought it was a Clinton walk with some interesting but smaller storylines on the side which didn't need vetting - the side stories were just to keep the drama in the Clinton walk (like McCain in 2000).

I think they were really caught off guard - and I would suggest instead that the result will be some really fast and furious (which means probably also shoddy) vetting and harsh under-the-microscope type coverage. I hope that Obama camp is ready for the firestorm. At least Clinton has already been through many media firestorms and her camp it tested on that front.

Just trying to point out if you start from the premise of lighter press scrutiny of Obama for your whole post... that there is an alternate explanation for that phenomenon.

I am not so sure the media has "picked" its candidate. Indeed I don't think the lack of Edwards coverage is a media conspiracy as much as forementioned laziness - they have a "new" story not the Clinton walk story and they are running with it. Edwards just doesn't really fit into the story line. Now if Clinton falls to third in NH - a whole new storyline emerges and Edwards part of the story which will then focus on "electability".

Just my two cents. your mileage may vary.
