Let us not forget that Iowa will be very important in November

This state was blue in 2000, and is a must win in 2008. The combined Gore-Kerry states add up to 264 electoral votes, just 6 shy of what is needed for victory.

I was very pleased to see that Democratic turnout surged far higher than the Republican turnout in Iowa on Tuesday. There are now more registered Democrats than Republicans in Iowa, a reversal of the long-term historical trend. This is indicative of a more energized Democratic base.

Granted I think if you are not winning Iowa you are in trouble, but I think we have a real shot in states totalling nearly 400 EVs.
