If Obama makes you feel warm and fuzzy, you need to know this.
This is not rumor or inuendo or gossip. This was from Barack's own mouth.

Obama rallies state Democrats, throws support behind Lieberman

By Stephanie Reitz, Associated Press Writer | March 31, 2006 http://boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2006/03/31/obama_rallies_state_democrats_throws_support_behind_lieberman/

HARTFORD, Conn.

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama rallied Connecticut Democrats at their annual dinner Thursday night, throwing his support behind mentor and Senate colleague Joe Lieberman. ....

<clip>

Obama wasted little time getting to that point, calling it the "elephant in the room" but praising Lieberman's intellect, character and qualifications.

"The fact of the matter is, I know some in the party have differences with Joe. I'm going to go ahead and say it," Obama told the 1,700-plus party members who gathered in a ballroom at the Connecticut Convention Center for the $175-per-head fundraiser.

"I am absolutely certain Connecticut is going to have the good sense to send Joe Lieberman back to the U.S. Senate so he can continue to serve on our behalf," he said.

There's more where that came from. Just Google it.

If you knew about this and this still doesn't give you pause, I don't know what would. I just learned about it.

It makes bile come up into my throat.

this is irrelevent

what is relevent is where he stands on the issues verses the other candidates

12. I find these indirect accusations of racism tiresome. Perhaps you should ask others at DU
about their lives and you should tell us about yours.

My personal experience is that often people who accuse others of racism are projecting their own racist attitudes upon others.

4. I'm not a Lieberman fan but Obama's support of him is not enough to change my mind.
Every candidate will say/do things that I find objectionable but will this be the deciding factor in whether I vote for somebody?

No, not for me. But I agree that Lieberman is worthy of a puke smiley.

Psst: As others have informed you, virtually every dem Senator supported Lieberman in the Primary. And here's the part you forgot: Obama supported Lamont in the general. Just like Boxer and Durbin and all the others.

that's standard political boilerplate that says nothing and it likely no different than what Boxer or Durbin or other dems said.

By the way this is for you, sweetie.

The new ARG and Rasmussen polls show Obama with at least a 13 point bump from Iowa. Your candidate? Sorry. He's about 18 points in back of Barack. Don't choke on it now.

31. Oh Noes! Seriously, Lieberman still has a lot of friends in the Senate--
jsut because he's toxic to us, doesn't mean his colleagues have shunned him. Our Senators don't base their relationships with each other on their pro-war/anti-war status alone.

36. No--I can't stand Lieberman. But the Senate colleague relationship is
separate from a Senator-constituent relationship. They do have to work together, and Obama and Lieberman are in the same party caucus and are on the same side on many issues.

40. Just like folks do when a revival preacher comes through, and
in more recent political speeches by Obama I have picked up a change in his delivery. I sense the cadence or rhythm in his speech pattern of Martin Luther King.It was not there before so I suspect it to be orchestrated.

The point I am trying to make here is that he's not being himself. Since he's not only acting a part, but now speaking in different patterns and he can't be trusted. At least that's the way I see it.

42. Questions about Senate mentoring:
I've asked others to explain it to me, and since you seem to be familiar with Senate mentoring, please explain it to me, as I really want to know:

What is the Senate procedure for mentoring Freshmen senators?

How is the mentor chosen?

Who chooses the mentor?

What exactly is the role of a mentor for a Freshman senator?

What are the terms and obligations for both parties?

Do the freshmen senators have to agree with the political ideology of their mentors?
