"The two change candidates won."

"Senator Obama is a change candidate by any measure."

"Between the three of us, I think the most important thing is that we nominate a candidate, and I think it's either myself or Senator Obama, who will actually fight for the change that we need."

What's Edwards' strategy?

Edited typo.

1. He's trying to off Hillary asap
Then he can have the luxury of going one on one w/ Obama.

2. Geniality?
Maybe he still feels, like I do, that either him or Obama would be a better nominee than Hillary, who, like her or hate her, is a magnet for divisiveness.

3. I couldn't agree more.
I'm an obama supporter first, but edwards second. I have a lot of respect for the guy, and do wish he got equal coverage (out of fairness and all). I hope he continues to fair well against HRC.

5. I'm trying to figure out what this "change" really is.
Does it mean taking a neutral "present" position on the tough decisions?

Does it mean putting a multi-millionaire Woody Guthrie wanna-be in charge of everything?

6. I saw John on Charlie Rose...
some time ago. I like to see these candidates in that type of a forum...where the answers and the questions have a little more depth to them. Those quotes do not indicate any change in his 'strategy'...or 'opinion' since that airing..so I'm not sure what you are saying.

7. Pay attention to how he's framing the players
as I've posted elsewhere...

Clinton is the "Status Quo" or, in other words, old news.

Obama is the only other "Change" candidate but his approach is "intellectual" and "philosophical"...somebody who "just talks about it, for whom it's more of a political issue...the politicians are going to do the political thing." Translation: more of the same old-same old.

I expect him to marginalize them both in the upcoming debates...and I wouldn't be surprised if one or the other doesn't get visibly pissy to their own detriment as he backs them into corners. As a trial lawyer, he knows exactly how to pressure those in the hot seat so they incriminate themselves in the eyes of public opinion. Break out the popcorn for he next exciting installment. Edwards is bringin' it ON!
