The induction of terror
In order for the PNAC'ers to achieve their goals of a war in Iraq...the populace first had to be "made ready".
I believe that this was done, spectacularly I might add, in the form of the 911 bombings.
They showed us the images of the bombings fast and furious at first...to keep us in a perpetual state of being terrorized.
Then, they removed them from the airwaves.
The "official" reason was that they were afraid that it was "too much" for the kids.
However, I believe the reason was more practical.
IF they had continued to show this footage...the terror would eventually turn to anger. Angry at an administration who did nothing to stop this when the intel was on the desk, angry that Bin Ladin wasn't captured...etc.
The last thing they needed was a country full of angry Americans fouling up their plans.
THAT is the reason the 911 images were removed from the airwaves.
