I, of course, am but I'm concerned that the country is not yet ready to accept a living wage, civil liberties and affordable health care.

If we are too rash the republicans may retaliate by rushing us into an unprovoked war or set up detention camps on some island in the Caribbean. Unless we keep our heads, the corporations may shift thousands of jobs overseas and the government may impose draconian travel restrictions. The country is not ready to remove its socks at airports. First we must struggle to recover our right to wear shoes. I have emailed our Speaker on exactly this point.

So please think long and hard, friends, before we rush into this business of selecting our nominee. The country needs a pasty heterosexual man Democrat to soothe our countrymen and countrywomen and allay their fears before we take the next step toward meaningful change.
