Big Media by its Wall of Silence have shown us who to vote for: Edwards & Kucinich
Big media has been minimizing John Edwards and absolutely ignoring Dennis Kucinich to such an extent that media are now wondering about the Big Media lockout of Edwards (but, notice: still little to no mention of the Media lockout of Dennis). Having been witness to (and victim of) a comparable media blackout/brownout around the stolen election of 2004, I easily recognize the tactic.

Its clear that John and Dennis do not share the interests of the powerful. By their collective actions, major media corporations are demonstrating they are scared of these guys and sufficiently worried that they have launched a surprisingly public shutdown of their respective messages. I can only conclude that, of the available candidates, only John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich are considered real threats to the continued private interest control of our government. As such, I further conclude that John and Dennis are the two best agents of change for regaining our Democracy and our decency. Thank you, MSM, for making this abundantly clear.

Point made.

Now, read on if you want my voting preferences.
My first choice is Dennis Kucinich because:

  • he will get us out of Iraq quickly and safely, leveraging the UN and surrounding countries to stabilize Iraq, contract Iraqis and Iraqi companies to rebuild their country funded by the US.
  • he will sign Kyoto and push to accelerate CAFFE standards improvement and hiking the average to 50mpg
  • he will push for Universal Single Payer Health Care
  • he will prosecute the Bush administration "to the full extent of the law"
  • he will pursue a diplomacy of effective peace
  • he will pursue gaining integrity to our election systems via public financed federal elections requiring paper ballots as the ballot of record that is hand counted in the event of a dispute
  • he will rollback rules facilitating and encouraging media conglomeration
  • he will bring an end to free trade and negotiate fair trade (labor, environmental, economic)
  • he will withdraw the US from the WTO and World Bank
  • he will reinstate our civil liberties
  • ...
  • I could go on but I think you get the point.

IMO, Dennis has demonstrated a level of maturity I found previously wanting in him (marriage can do that sometimes). There still are aspects to Dennis I don't like (Doesn't he know how Chuck Hegal got himself elected?!!!). However, I trust him with my country and my children's future. You see, I don't want just Change. Bush gave us a lot of Change. I want progress, improvement, restoration, revolution. I want integrity and vision. Dennis has the integrity and a vision for the United States I want for my kids and their kids.

Now it happens that I live in Houston. The Texas Democratic Party has rejected Dennis' registration to be a Democratic candidate in the Texas Democratic primary. On his application, Dennis left unsigned a loyalty oath committing him to support and vote for whoever is the Democratic candidate in November (You can apply for the job but first, you have to vote a certain way - isn't this illegal?). At least, you have to admit, this guy has integrity. So, should Kucinich's lawsuit against the Texas Democratic Party be unsuccessful or untimely, I will proudly cast my vote for John Edwards. Should Obama win the nomination, I will support and vote for him in November. However, I will NEVER EVER vote for a neo-liberal/con global corporatist (you know who you are, girl!). Who knows, maybe I share that with Dennis. I'll write in Al Gore before voting for the Goldwater Girl.

2. Kucinich knew that Edwards had been blabbing to CLinton that he wanted a way to
Get the crowd on the stage to two or three.

Definitely not including Dennis.

So if the knife has gone into Edwards, DK got it from Edwards and turned it on him.

He has become nader without the influence.

4. I hate to say it, but I too think he made a bad decision in not going with Edwards.
